The speed is a little fast especially in K.207 2nd Mov. I prefer Perlman editon instead of this one.

It is a good CD to make your sons get involved in tha classical music. And if your children don't get relax, you sure will.

The CD came quickly and was well packaged. The music is beautiful and very relaxing. I used it to listen to as I drifted off to sleep.

It's easy to think that the culture is in decline (mostly because it is), but Wynton is proof that we are not done for yet. He is the real thing, whether you like classical or jazz or whatever. He is a master. I love this recording of some very familiar pieces, recorded here by a real virtuoso. Just as we were getting used to mediocrity, Wynton comes along and reminds us all that perfection is worth pursuing despite our teachers' insistence that we can feel good about ourselves no matter what we do. Here is the personification of artistry and the claim that greatness is worth pursuing and is achievable.

This recording is a delightful morning brew of Bach's most beautiful and atmospheric instrumental music, even making use of an instrument that most music scholars forget he even wrote music for - the harp, as in the SLonatas for Flute, Harp and Cello, which on this recording, sound positively radiant coming from the likes of Sir Neville Marriner's Academy of St Martin In The Fields or the English Chamber Orchestra. The opening track is the ever popular Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring, mostly a featured piece in Wedding Ceremonies. The Orchestral Suite No. 3 in D, which I believe is marked "Overture" is regal and elegant. The English Suite No. 3 in G Minor is a lovely piece, as is the intimately slow andane of the Brandenbur Concerto No. 2. The Concerto for Violin and Panpies in D is a fresh new rendition. ... I wanted a recording of the Haydn Trumpet Concerto, and thought this would be a good bet, as Marsalis is such an accomplished trumpet player. And his performance is technically masterful, but there's no heart in it. He's just going through the motions. It's adequate, but disappointing.

This 2 CD set is full of beautiful Baroque music by one of its masters. This is a terrific bargain for the quality of the performances. Highly recommended.

This 2-disc set has everything I love about Grieg all organized together: Piano Concerto -- The best piano concerto I have ever heard. Just amazing. The entire Peer Gynt Suite which also absolutely owns. Plus it has, my absolute favorite piece ever, on disc 2: The 4-part Symphonic Dances. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
