This is the best sound mix of PP&M that I have heard. I would recommend this to any fan even if you already have an older cd.

I saw the Phantom on stage in Toronto. I did not see the movie until 2007. I enjoyed the movie much more than the play. When I saw the play I never got a good feeling of the story. Perhaps I was too close to the stage to get an overall look of it. When I saw the movie, because you see everything up close, it was much more understandable. I bought the two disc version of the dvd and was interested in the explanation of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Joel Shumacker of the casting and the production. I think they did exactly what they intended... made it enjoyable to a larger audience. As to the casting...the only one I did not enjoy was Patrick Wilson, but perhaps its because I thought the character was trying to control Christine too much. Another one of Julie Andrews wonderful musical movies! I never thought I'd find Mary Poppins on CD but was very happy when I did! As I then could learn like Mary Poppins how to say Supercalifragilistic backwards which I'm still learning how to do and as it as taken this long I don't think I ever will.

What a rare treat to hear such a wonderful voice! The music transcends the various languages( Latin, Italian, French, Spanish and almost no English) and communicates directly, beyond intellect, deeper to sooth the soul. This we expect from Opera and Religious selections such as Pucinni's "Nessun Dorma" and Lloyd Webber's "Piu Jesu". A favorite is the solo rendition of "Time To Say Good-bye". Orchestrations are as light and lyric as the voice. Some tracks are found on other CD's and the enclosed photos are a bit risque, but again, the music reaches a much higher plane than most. You won't be disappointed.

This may be the original London cast; but the recording is poorly done. I went to answer the telephone twice, before I realised that the ringing was a cell phone recorded on disc two of this set. I would return it, but it just is not worth the effort. It is most disappointing I do not recommend this item to anyone.

This wonderful CD brought back memories of the Peter, Paul & Mary Christmas concert on PBS years ago. The sound quality is very good - my husband, a real music buff, had never heard it before and was impressed.

Our children grew up listening to the close harmonies of Peter, Paul and Mary. This album has our favorites: The Marvelous Toy, and Puff (The Magic Dragon) My husband recently died and our children asked for The Marvelous Toy at his funeral; fortunately we have an old songbook, and my husband's guitar, so our nephew and his friend were able to sing this song for our kids. I realized, watching my son's tears, that the songs of Peter, Paul and Mary have worked their magic for us.

Was very pleased with the music. Couldn't have been better. I do wish Mr. Beveridge's Maggot was included, tho. Some of the in-film music also could have been included, but overall I enjoyed the CD.
