I saw the Phantom on stage in Toronto. I did not see the movie until 2007. I enjoyed the movie much more than the play. When I saw the play I never got a good feeling of the story. Perhaps I was too close to the stage to get an overall look of it. When I saw the movie, because you see everything up close, it was much more understandable. I bought the two disc version of the dvd and was interested in the explanation of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Joel Shumacker of the casting and the production. I think they did exactly what they intended... made it enjoyable to a larger audience. As to the casting...the only one I did not enjoy was Patrick Wilson, but perhaps its because I thought the character was trying to control Christine too much. I first came across this wonderful play after having found a 33 1/3 record of it which I purchased at a garage sale. The record was in very poor shape with many scratches & crayon markings all across it. Never the less being a native New Yorker I thoroughly enjoyed the flavor of the New York political satire. I found it so familiar and pleasurable that I searched all over for a good copy of this recording. It wasn't until recently that I was able to get the CD through Amazon. I am looking forward to a local college group performing Fiorello here in Missouri. It's not Broadway, but they'll do a great job!

having had the pleasure of a live concert, i decided to purchase a couple of the TTT's CDs and i am definitely most impressed with their transfer from stage performance to studio. some beautiful tracks, some interesting compositions and just an overall very listenable, worthwhile & satisfying musical exploration. buy the CD and moreover, catch The Ten Tenors on tour; you will not be disappointed!

This is a splendid cd if you enjoy movie themes. Original performances that bring back fond memories of the films. Many selections included.

I enjoy all of Rebecca Luker's albums, and this Aria series does not disappoint. It's soothing and relaxing, and her voice is, of course, lovely.

Some of broadway's best singers are on this album, including Brian Stokes Mitchell, Debbie Gravitte, Marin Mazzie, and Rebecca Luker. (The cd is worth buying for Rebecca Luker's song alone!) The songs are beautifully orchestrated and sung. Most are light hearted and fun, leaving me with a good feeling when listening. If you're a fan of broadway showtunes, I believe you'll enjoy this album.
