My family loves listening to this CD. We have numerous Disney music CD's and we listen to them constantly in the car. I would defintely recommend this to any Disney fan.

Actually I didn't get this item, becuse the owner said to me, 'That item has problem so I'll refund.' He(She) did. Moreover comunication didn't have problem.(it did immdeatry.) So I also saticefay. I saw the show on Broadway with Nathan Lane, so this album functions as a memory. The music is American Standard Broadway classic and should be in the collection of anyone who loves musical theater.

I saw the making of the CD on TV. The cast does a great job. I have the CD in my car stereo and listen to it often.

The music is addictive, all of it top notch. The whole cast is so incredibly talented!

I must say, this is Disney's--no, ONE of Disney's best--Princess soundtracks. I have both the Disney Princess Ultimate Song Collection and this one, but this one has some songs I haven't learned yet. My favorite song is Put It Together, which has the Fairy Godmother's special magical phrase, "Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo." And it also has some songs that remind me of why I think Cinderella should be known as the Princess of Hope. Thank you, Disney.

I love this movie!! It's so funny. Nathan Lane is gay in real life and I adore him when he was playing in this gay movie with Robin Williams. I am not a huge fan of Robin Wiliams tho. I kept on laughing laughing and laughing from the beginning to the end!!! I wish I could put this 10 stars but Amazon only limit 1 to 5.

...doesn't mean it deserves 5 stars. Or even 4. It was Sondheim's first score and it shows. Other than one or two cute numbers, it is barely listenable. While the show may have been improved since it's original 1974 production at Yale, it just doesn't come together. I think it is a lovely academic excercise, but it is too anaesthetic and lopsided to serve as anything other than an academic excercise. Sondheim enthusiasts will no doubt rate it highly as they do anything he writes, but objectively, this recording exists solely to satiate showtune collectors.

This is a fun CD set. The music is lush. The performances by Bernadette Peters, Carol Burnett, Nathan Lane and rest of the cast are simply great. The personalities of the characters really come through. In the production numbers, you can almost see the dancers. Goodness, Carol Burnett -- always one of my favorites -- here at 70 sounds wonderful. I have to state my bias, though, I'm performing the role of Sheridan Whiteside in a community theater production of the play. So people less familiar with the play may not appreciate this CD as much. It has grown on me, so maybe it takes a few listens. The 2000 movie of "The Man who Came to Dinner" with Nathan Lane would be good background (as well as a lot of fun in its own right).

Some of broadway's best singers are on this album, including Brian Stokes Mitchell, Debbie Gravitte, Marin Mazzie, and Rebecca Luker. (The cd is worth buying for Rebecca Luker's song alone!) The songs are beautifully orchestrated and sung. Most are light hearted and fun, leaving me with a good feeling when listening. If you're a fan of broadway showtunes, I believe you'll enjoy this album.
