The selections chosen are, for the most part, to my taste, but the volume is comprised of fewer supurb selections, such as those masterpieces by Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart that were found in Vol. I.

You don't have to be a fan of "Ben-Hur" to enjoy Miklos Rosza's orchestral masterpiece. This soundtrack puts together every second of music from the motion picture, plus lots of music that never made its way into the film. The album also comes with a neat little booklet that explains the history behind "Ben-Hur", from the book to the play to the silent films, and finally to the landmark 1959 version. Even if you've never seen "Ben-Hur" and you're just into classic movie soundtracks, this is a must-have for your collection.

I wasn't expecting to have 4 discs for this price, and the music is a quality selection of film music, giving a good scope of the genre, and a very listenable transfer.

I don't know how this could be any better. Mario sings like an angel and I love most of the selections. I have thoroughly enoyed listening to my cd's, over and over.

I bought this cd after watching "El Cid" the dvd and getting hooked on the music. I watched scenes over and over just to listen to the heroic music. The special features on the dvd had a section on Miklos Rozsa. I learned about him and found out that he was a giant and had scored dozens of wonderful movies. I bought this Cd and was not disappointed. There are great tracks from "Ben Hur","El Cid", "King of Kings", and "Quo Vadis". Plus they threw in his piano concerto from his oscar winning soundtrack to "Spellbound". This cd is a keeper!

This is a splendid cd if you enjoy movie themes. Original performances that bring back fond memories of the films. Many selections included.
