this is the Madonna era of music making that i still dig the most and Into the Groove was one of my cuts back in the day. Madonna vocally sounded on point and I dug the Production and the Punchy vibe of the cut.i dig the Grooves and the re-mixes. classic Madonna.

It is with great shock and dissapointment that I read some of the scathing reviews here relating to this song. Most of the "bad" reviews obviously comes from "older" people who find it difficult to adapt to the natural progression of music. This is Madonna's interpretation of the song, it is NOT Don McLean's version and never will be. Deal with it. If Don McLean can praise Madonna for her version of this song (which he has), why can't some of the other "sour" reviewers do the same? No one is asking them to buy this single, no one is asking them to even listen to it and no one is forcing them to like it. I have to say that this is her best album. I find so many of these songs to be top notch. And I give her a lot of credit for exploring so-called "hip-hop". She clearly takes it to another level. I'm not a huge fan, by any means, but I think that in the final analysis, this is a much better record than "Music", "Confessions" or "Ray of Light."

I have to admit I originally wasn't crazy about "Music". After the spectacular "Ray of Light", I thought "Music" was a bit weak. The songs were either a hit or miss with me. It took some time for the cd to grow on me. Considering Madonna's last studio album "American Life" (which was disasterous artistically and commercially), "Music" sounds brilliant. Mirwais was ok as a producer but I do think that he was vastly overrated. The only single I really liked off the album was the title track with its Daft Punk-like beats. I like "Don't Tell Me" but I thought as a single it was a pretty weak follow up to "Music". I never cared for "What It Feels Like For a Girl". The lyrics alone are pretty silly and an indication to the absurdity and pretentiousness found on "American Life". Joni Mitchell Madonna is not ... Read More

The song Don't Cry For Me Argentina is so beautiful, and this CD features all the Dance Remixes you've ben waiting for + the original album version!! The best of the four is the Miami Mix, the full 12" Remix is brilliant! The album version, Miami Mix Edit (the most popular mix) and the Miami Spanglish Mix Edit, are also brilliant! From the film Evita, where Madonna starrs as Eva Peron! Recommended for collectors + true die-hard Madonna fans!! If you want more remixes buy the US Maxi!

having collected all the authorized maxi-singles of her madjesty madonna, this is one disappointment. while the song is great, the remixes are not so much. interestingly, i only liked the short and long versions of the songand the one remixed by stuart price - it has different refrain! not even the unreleased track, "history" could make up for this mess. buy instead the spectacular album "confessions on a dance floor" and avoid disappointment...whatever happened to madonna's great remixes in the 80's and 90's? call shep pettibone! junior vasquez! william orbit! etc... still, long live the queen!

When I bought the Like a Prayer Album back in 89, Keep It Together, for me, wasn't a stand out track, then one day I heard a remixed version on the radio that reminded me of her remix of Express Yourself, I ran out and picked up the cassette single which contained the remix I had heard and an instrumental version on the b-side. So I wear out the cassette single just in time for the remixes to be released. I looked long and hard for the 12 inch single which at the time, was EXTREMELLY hard to find. Luckily I found it and was very pleased with the amount of mixes available. I later found out that this was the first DOMESTIC cd single that Madonna would release too in the U.S. The early 90's house sound that were used for the remixes of Keep It Together was just a preview of what Madonna was going to use to blow the world ...
