To understand what this single mix means, you should live in the eighties (I mean, have at least fifteen years old on those years). CD's were not the standard yet, and electronics were used only to give analog instruments and composition something "extra". I became a DJ just because of this single. I could not resist when I first heard this wonderful Non-Stop Express mix, and of course, remixed with Stop & Go dubs by some DJ in her live performance. Well, for anyone who doesn't know... This is of course a classic track and one of Madonna's best. One of its charms is that it is inspired by an older '60s tune by The Association, also called "Cherish." Madonna uses some of the words and the same notes from that song ("Cherish is the word I use to describe....", which was the key phrase from that '60s tune). But Madonna doesn't rip the Association off, rather she builds her own distinctive tune, but one clearly inspired by, and meant to be connected with, the earlier song by the Association. another great track from the confessions album, however, the remixes are a different story. i only liked the album version (of course) and the Danny Howells & Dick Trevor KinkyFunk Mix good. the rest are not that good. however, madonna is always the one to beat. long live the queen...

Amongst several single releases of "Ray Of Light" from many countries, this one stands out amongst the crowd. A hard-to-find-gem. The album cut, the beautiful b-side, "Has To Be" and a superb dance remix by sasha, makes this an easy-listen single.

Tracks: 1 - Into the Groove (4:42) 2 - Who's That Girl (Extended Version) (6:29) 3 - Causing a Commotion (Silver Screen Mix) (6:39) This single does indeed include the original version of 'Into the Groove' and you get two very good remixes of other songs to boot. The Silver Screen Mix of 'Causing a Commotion' is very fresh and bouncy and the Extended Version of 'Who's That Girl' isn't bad either. I absolutely recommend this single if you like the 'Who's That Girl' soundtrack, the remixes add a whole lot of energy to the two songs.
