When he released 'Con te Partiro' in the U.S. in 1997, Andrea Bocelli became a household name for the soaring emotional piece that has become his best-known song. However, on 2001 album "Cieli di Toscana", the crossover artist treats listeners to 14 songs recorded with the voice that has captured the world.

Unlike many of his previous hit records, "Cieli di Toscana" is a pop album, but unlike Madonna or Britney Spears, it is filled with the soul and delicate emotion you would find in more classical music. The album opens with the rich-sounding 'Melodramma' then chills to a more relaxed feel with 'Mille Lune Mille Onde'. From this point on, the record switches from lavish orchestration to tunes that, if they weren't in Italian, could have been hits on U.S. radio.

I really liked this CD. I love classical crossover, and wish there were more bands like these girls. The only thing I don't like about them is..they seem to be about their image, and just showing off their bodies with their instruments. I just ignore it and listen to the awesome music.

My favorite tracks are 4, 6, and basically the whole CD.

I also wish these girls would hurry up and make another CD!

"Opera Babes" gives you a nice visual image of at least two attractive women with some association with opera. Since this is an audio disk, that's basically all you have for a visual, unless you are odd and wish to stare obsessively at the disc jacket.

But the sound -- oh, the sound is quintessentially feminine, seductive, alluring, and yes, operatic. If you find yourself carried away by passionate singing, this album is marvelous.

One star cause it doesn't have the songs I'm looking for, great movie though. thanks to those you posted where the club scene songs can be found, but where can we get the actual mix that was played while Naturelle and Marie were dancing? That is not on the CDs mentioned below....

Sometimes a score can be taken from its movie and enjoyed on its own, e.g. The Patriot, Gettysburg, or Glory. Such is not the case here. Certainly, the music in the Four Feathers fit with the episodes in the movie, but it is awful when removed from its visual context. Much of the music is whining Middle Eastern chant and the rest is boring, unmoving piano music. It just doesn't work by itself. Pass on this one (even if you liked the movie).

What's the name of the song that "Julia" is singing when the bird has dies. The movie was playing while I was at the gym, and the lullaby-ish song struck me as familiar. Unfortunately, I don't remember the words, or I'd just look up the lyrics. Any help?

The original Victory can't be beat. This remix looses a lot of the original sound by replacing it with other sounds. The other songs are good though.
