A really excellent collection of some of Joe Cocker's best works including the best cover song ever; "With a Little Help from Me Friends", and also the later "Unchain My Heart" another great power vocal from Joe. I only wish that they had included "Hitchcock Railway", a great early Cocker Rocker that was always one of my favorites. All in all though a great retrospective of the eclectic Joe Cocker!!

I crack up each time I read one of the reviews. "Garage cover bands", "remakes". Watch the movie, then buy the cd. It's like if you went to see a play. Of course the Beatles will forever hold the title as the best, but get the crap over yourselves. Enjoy the movie. They weren't "remaking" the Beatles' songs, they were using them to tell a love story. You wouldn't expect them to lip sync to the Beatles for the movie would you? That would just be dumb, guys singing to guys -- awesome. Whatever. They were telling a tale from the time period of the Beatles, on the subjects of their songs. The soundtrack and movie are wonderful and insightful. I only gave it 3 stars because the deluxe version is better.

I was at this concert when they played in Seattle, the best concert I've ever been to, and I've been to lots and lots. I love this deluxe edition. I had owned the record album, but because of divorce I lost all my music. It's wonderful to get some of it back

When you listen to Joe Cocker, when you purchase a CD by Joe Cocker, you know what you are getting! This music will not disappoint as long as you don't expect an out of body experience. Enjoy, lean back and remember that this talent is now in the 21st century and as strong as ever.

Being older, sometimes has its advantages. I saw this production, here in Phila., at the Academy of Music. There were dogs and children running around on the stage, and all those folks on the stage. It was unreal
As far as rating this album, it is my Number 1, all time favorite. Basically, there is not a bad song in the bunch. I am buying as many albums now, for Christmas presents. The normal Cocker hits of Came in through the bathroom window,The Letter, and Delta Lady, goes Soul with
Cry me a river, and the Blues Medley offered.Leon Russells tribute to Dylan in North Country is right there, and Give Peace a Chance, rocks

I bought "With a Little Help From My Friends" in '69 for 99ยข and I still play it. From "Feelin Alright" "Bye Bye Blackbird" "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" "Do I Still Figure in Your Life" to "I Shall Be Released" I'm still trying to pick among three of the tracks to be played at my funeral. But,the addition of the 2 last tracks sucks. It's like adding an alternate ending to your favorite movie. Get if you must and you just have to have those 2 extra tracks, but I highly recommend buying the original version.

While nothing is as good as hearing Joe Cocker live and in person, this album comes pretty darned close. His passion comes through as strongly as his talent. A raw, but lived-in voice, lends meaning to the words. A good solid portfolio of his work.

This is a great CD. Joe Cocker gives his all to each song, but my favorite is "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress." I've heard other versions but feel his voice tells the sadness of this song best. A great album.

Hot studio team and great song selection make this a good disk. Joe screams his head off like a white Ray Charles on acid. Take a stroll down memory lane and play this loud.

Joe Cocker can still make an entertaining album. Great mix of songs!

I like the arrangements of many of these songs, and Joe Cocker with his huge talent is able to use his more limited vocal range well.

The main complaint I have is that some of the instruments sound programmed and sampled. But overall worth owning and listening to.
