If this CD has made this fantastic quartet known to a larger number of people, then, it's fine. But what a desappointment in terms of music ! A few interresting songs, but i can't feel any great inspiration in this commercial CD poorly surfing on the ethnic wave. A shame.

This cd has incredibly natural sound, and is very, very beautiful. Deep dark rich bass notes, soft percussion, soulful voice.... Just awesome.

Everything El Din does turns to gold. This is a wonderful sample of the beautiful music of Nubia, of which Hamza is their greatest sample.

Wow! This highly rewarding album is likely completely alien to most listeners. I had never heard of the Oud before, but the virtuosity of Hamza El Din shines through even without a strong frame of reference. The highly emotional songs accomplish the great feat of transporting the listener directly to the source, and El Din's voice is pretty awesome too.

This is an excellent example of Nubian music, El Din is a master. I remember this album from when it first came out, my dad bought it and it soon became a favorite of our family. I am pleased to re-discover this treasure as an adult.

I love the simplicity of just the oud and the unique voice of Hamza El Din. I recommend all his albums for true natural esoteric which is simultaneously both primitive and elegant.
