We live in a very hectic world and we as humans need to take time to relax. The soothing sounds of Chamber Music is just what the doctor ordered. Coupled with a good book, or just before bed, and the hours kind of just drift away. Sample the sounds online, if this is your kind of music, or even if you are a novis, this CD may be the one that gives you your first dip into "Long Haired" music. I cannot think of a better place to start.

Love this CD. The Gershwin arranged for string trio is outstanding. This is one of the rare recordings of "Cafe Music" A truly fun , interesting and exciting piece.... the slow movement is SO beautiful, it is to die for and the fast movements are at breakneck speed. These girls really can play ! !

The Eroica trio's album "Pasion" is exciting and delivers what it says: a passionate rendering of a variety of South American Composer's chamber pieces. While sometimes a little over the top, it is never dull and does not trivialize the Composer's work. It should be mandatory listening for any aspiring piano trio on how to inject exitement and panache into the chamber repertoire.

I receive a great deal of pleasure listining to this recording. The balance of instruments that the Trio displays in this recording and in several of their other recordings is what makes them unique.

This is one of the few classical CDs I have that I can listen to over and over again. I love it and think it is fantastic. Anyone who likes classical music but doesn't always feel inclined to listen to it should buy this. It's wonderful.

Four stars for the Dvorak, three for the Shostakovich, two for the Rachmaninoff. I bought this with trepidation, after trying half a dozen times to like their debut album and always failing. As I pointed out in my review of that one, the Eroica Trio doesn't deliver slow music convincingly. I bought this anyway because I wanted the Shostakovich and Dvorak trios: convenience, a good pairing for CD. Plus I had a morbid curiosity to hear what the generic Eroica interpretation would do to these pieces. The problems are still here, but at least this music can take their approach better than the elegant Ravel trio can. The Eroica Trio sounds most comfortable with tense music. They're excellent when things get hyped up (though there is also a tendency to bang the loud parts too vehemently). ... Read More
