Being a major fan of Enya from the beginning of her solo career, I was caught off guard about this release (as in only every five years). It has a beautiful catalogue of songs, several being formulaic Enya but as said, that is a good thing! Her ethereal cover of O Come, O Come, Emmanuel is inspiring. A new chorale interpretation of "Oíche Chiúin is simply mesmerizing! A must have for Enya fans and a unique experience for new fans as well.

Why are there only 4 songs on this CD? I didn't pay attention to this when I bought it last week and feel like I didn't get a very good deal. The music is lovely but just not enough.

My wife loves this and me too. Maybe the best from Enya as my personal view.

I was curious about Enya when I first heard of her; due to my love to U2's music and knowing that Enya became Irland's second biggest musical export after U2 (she's from Irland, such a bad stereotype on my part). There's no way one's can deny her beautiful voice and remarkable style, but I came to think that all her music has the same redundant theme when it comes to lyrics or music. This album reached the top 10 in both the UK and the US, peaked at number 3 in Germany, won the Grammy award for best new age album for 2007, and I'm in disbelief and trying to understand what is so special about this album. As with all of her work this one is very well done. Enya's a perfectionist and supremely good at hitting on catchy and haunting rhythms harmonys and lyrics.

As someone who has friends who don't share my eclectic taste in music I don't have many places to share my love of what I do like. That's why I like coming here and writing reviews of stuff I love. I reviewed Enya's recent Christmas album and it was a painful experience because it just didn't live up to my hopes. I hated writing an average review of an artist I respect so much... so I decided to review an album I consider my favorite. There are a lot of differing opinions on what is Enya's best work, least favorite work and all in between. For me, this album don't have my favorite Enya song (That would be Flora's Secret from A Day Without Rain) or my favorite instrumental (Shepherd Moons from the album of the same name).
