I started paying attention to Dwight Yoakam not long ago. I think he is great and what country should be.

This is a very good tape from a music perspective. However, the CD soundtrack is distorted in four different places. I was unable to return it because I had thrown the packing slip/receipt away. I would recommend the CD for any country music lover's collection!!!

Dwight brings the Christmas spirit to you via this CD. I would have given this 5 stars but the first song is slow and depressing. Who starts off a CD with a slow song? Anyway, the rest of the music is great and creative and it is priced right.

This Time by Dwight Yoakum is one of his Best CD's ever released. My old copy was accidently destroyed and I needed to replace it. I highly recommend this CD to those who love Dwight Yoakum's music!

Watch Out is the title of a 2005 Yoakam song and current staple of his live shows. That's what the giants of Country music must have thought after this milestone in Yoakam's remarkable career. He burst onto the scene with two albums that though steeped in tradition put him squarely on the cutting edge. His articulate and accurate critiques of the Nashville establishment didn't help, but it was his innovative sound that set him apart from the field. Where do I begin, this is great C.D. Dwight Yoakam is the only country singer I buy. His music is not sappy. He is gutsy and real. This C.D. has great country music in the older style, a little rock thrown in and wonderful lyrics. Dwight is great songwriter. I'm ready to buy more.

I bought this years ago and wore it out in college... obviously you can see from all the reviews this is fabulous... good CD to buy to get a taste of DW. He rocks!!!!!!!!1

Dwight Yoakam is the only real country artist out there. The rest are imitators, but Yoakam delivers the real thing. Hillbilly Deluxe is one of the best country albums ever made. It is just a shame that he had to put up with the imitators he competed with when this album was originally released. HB is a five star masterpiece. If you never buy a country album, buy this one.

I purchased this CD as a replacement for my father, as he had lost his copy. He's not one to listen to music, but this was one CD he raved about. We opened it up so I could see what he was talking about...and I had to listen to the entire CD right then and there! I was very impressed with the entire CD...I would recommend this to anyone!
