I really hate to compare Duffy to Amy Winehouse, because there really are differences between the two. I think we get caught up in the era that their music reflects, but after listening to Duffy's entire cd, I heard a different take on soul without some of the grit of A Winehouse. Duffy provides a great collection of songs, without the overkill, and I enjoy each one. I am still troubled by the fact that American artist aren't putting out the most creative material with great lyrics, like these British artist...no offense to "B", but she's older and married with a top song called "Single Ladies", while these artist like Adele are coming out with great lyrics. I purchased this CD to get the non-album "Put it in Perspective" and it was well worth the price just for that song. "Warwick Avenue" is my favorite track from Duffy's album so I didn't mind having that on the CD as well. Both songs have great lyrics, melody, and sound quality. "Warwick Avenue" is filled with some intense emotion (watch the music video to see the emotion Duffy feels while singing the song) and great vocals help the audience to feel what she me have been feeling when she wrote the song. "Put it in Perspective" is a great upbeat, poppy song giving contrast to the previous track.

When this CD was first released my partner and I listened to it every night and sometimes twice. We thought what a perfect vehicle for Patti and you could tell it was written for her vocal range. All the characters were fabulous and George Hearn as Max was cast in stone.~~~~~New Year's Eve and Glenn Close stopped into Andrew Loyd Weber's party where all were celebrating the success of Sunset Blvd. Close got up on the piano, cleavage showing, and sang one of Patti's songs. ~~~~~~~ Patti was replaced, handsomely, but with a slap from a girl who should have never left her side of the tracks. ~~~~~~~ So here we are with Patti soaring as she did from the start. She made this show. It was stolen. All that remains is her voice as Norma Desmond. ~~~~~ Webber, go pet your cats!Sweeney Todd in Concert

This album is just a repackaged version of his Duffy album which did come out eary 1990's and IS britpop at its best. Don't get me wrong, a fantastic album - perhaps his best - but it's from the 90's not 2005/2006! seakret
