I first bought Moulin Rouge 2 soundtrack because I wanted the songs from the movie w/ the actual singers. But there's little of that on this soundtrack. It's a good compliment to the first soundtrack, but my collection still feels very short. Even with both CDs, I am still missing the original versions of the songs, sung by the actors, as they are sung IN the movie. The ones sung by the actors are remixed for the soundtracks, and most of them are not sung by the actors. There are a couple of instrumentals on this CD as well, which personally I don't care for. I bought the CD because I wanted to hear Ewan and Nicole sing, not a bunch of instruments! If you're a Moulin Rouge fan, this is a good addition to your collection, but you'd be better to just record all the songs ... Read More

Andy Webber and Tim Rice did this concept musical recording first, then produced "Jesus Christ Superstar" as a concept recording, and it swept the world. That was nearly 40 years ago. The success of Superstar led to the release of the Joseph score on Scepter Records, and the independent success of "Joseph" led to a stage version. While "Superstar" also has a stage version and was a popular movie, too, "Joseph" is more fun, and if you get a chance to attend a production, don't miss it. Its light tone and variety of musical styles make it a joy to see. The original Broadway cast version sounds just fine, although Donnie Osmond, who resurrected his career by playing Joseph, did not come along until later. Guys, This is a wonderful CD for yoga, meditation, accupunture and massage sessions. IT is so very soothing, this cd takes you on mental journeys, but always to a peaceful joyous place, you open your eyes (if they were closed) energetic and filled with LIGHT. Or you sit in a relaxed state of mind, opening your chakra centers. (my expereince) quite chakra cleansing. I recommend this CD. Great arrangement on CD, great sounds. Thanks gentlemen.

Did you know that listening to drums boosts your immunity? (Scientifically Proven) I bought this CD wanting to listen to some drums. Here the drums are in the background keeping beat, are drowned out by a multitude of other instruments and sounds, or they are competing with a flute. It sounds like there's even a keyboard and an electric guitar. You may want to keep in mind that I wanted to hear drums and would have been completely satisfied if there were no other instruments at all. The tracks feel chaotic and noisey. The best way to desribe it is this: In Beethoven's 5th (da da da DA) there are a multitude of instruments working together to say the same thing, or take you to the same place, throughout the masterpeice. Guys, Help me understand please, this is called Drum Medicine, but the most distinct sounds in this CD are FLUTEs, guitars and bird sound samples, i THOUGHT I WAS LISTENING TO SANTANA. NOT ENOUGH drums IN THE CD. too many electric instruments. i WAS SO EXCITED TO BUY THE cd BUT DID NOT HEAR ANY NATIVE CEREMONIAL , GIMBE, TALKING; POW WOW, OR SACRED-KULTRUN DRUMS. I think you strayed from the concept of the CD. Drum Medicine should not have so much other instruments, it should be more of a distinct/highly pronounced DRUM cd. Guys, when you do the other drum medicine cd and you use 99% drums, reach me i will get it. what's with the water and bird samples --come on guys, we need more drum rhythms.

Highly recommended. If ever someone needed help unwinding, it's me. I've found several disks that help with that: Misty Forest Morning, Heart of Peace and this, among others. I have to say Soothing Sanctuary is one that I go back to most frequently. It is just beautiful and peaceful, tranquil, soothing, you know all those warm and fuzzy things. Glad I have it.

The road to peaceful relaxation lies in this CD!!! Highly recommended!! I was so pleasantly surprised to find this just as relaxing and soothing as it actually is. The trick is in how it is blended to perfection. Nothing is too loud or overpowering, the sounds are balanced and harmonious. A great buy. Another brilliant disk is Heart of Peace, ahhh...

This CD is divine! It is such a godsend. I use it every night to go to sleep. My cares just drift away. The best thing I can recommend is to rip it to your library then make it a playlist for your MP3. You can then listen away until your mind gives it up for you to be able to have a blissful sleep. I would highly recommend, another great CD from the Gordon brothers. I can also highly recommend Garden of Serenity by the same duo.
