This CD is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I was familiar with several of the songs before I ordered the CD, but there were other beautiful songs on the CD that have made me a true fan. While I recognized Chaquico as having a mellow Spanish-guitar style, I really got a sense of Native American tones in the music on this CD - a really well-developed theme and a great sound. This CD was WELL worth the price!

Craig Chaquico proves his immense talents are not a simple market product. He is fully enraptured, molding and conferring in every piece he plays a special profile character and personality. His version of the famous theme Holding back the years is without doubt, the jewel of the crown. There are other successful tracks such as Blue Universe, Lights out San Francisco, Dream catcher and Midnight swim. A winner album for enjoying, dreaming, relaxation and delighting.

Flying like a pair of Eagles on acoustic guitars. A great album to drift away with on a Sunday afternoon, or doze off to any night. One of my very favorite Guitar albums, complicated and thoughtful. Craig was once the guy who replaced Jorma, hard shoes to fill for anyone especially a youngster. Today he stands alone as a master musician who can take you on journeys that few can match. Jorma's BLUE COUNTRY HEART is another great album if you love complicated simplicity.

I purchased Craig Chaquico's "Acoustic Highway" for my business. I am a massage therapist and am always in need of new relaxing music. I have one other Chaquico CD which I love and many of my clients have asked, "Who is this?" when listening to the CD. I was equally as satisfied with this CD as the first and intend to get more of Chaquico's music. It is guitar instrumentals with a soft jazz, south of the broader sound. Relaxing but not sleepy! Highly recommend this CD!

Midnight Noon is the 2004 release by jazz guitarist, Craig Chaquico. According to his Wikipedia file, Chaquico has enjoyed musical success largely in rock music before shifting into smooth jazz and new age music in the 1990s and this decade. Though hailing from northern California, this album made me think much more of Florida, specifically a heated Miami vibe. Go figure. I picked up this CD as a Christmas present. I included it on my wish list because of air play for one of his most popular tracks, Her Boyfriend's Wedding, which is definitely worthy of the attention. It has a solid melodic line and distinctive sound, and it's definitely car-friendly. Great to roll down the windows and turn up the volume. Bought this because I heard the title single and thought it was a catchy little tune. As is all too common the rest of the album is crap. Smooth Jazz elavator music at best. No thought or inspiration just some lame mediocre tracks. If you like the title track spend a buck and download it from Itunes or somewhere. Save the rest of your $$. I listened to it once and had my wife list it here to sell.

That's not all. It is very relaxing. You can listen to it anytime to calm down and cool out. Craig Chaquico is a talented artist, and this is some of his best work. If you like this style of music, I also recommend From The Redwoods To The Rockies by Craig Chaquico and Russ Freeman. Very nice stuff.

This cd, along with the other Higher Octave Is...Smooth Grooves cds, is a pleasure to listen to. Using songs by various musicians makes the cds interesting & engaging. The music stays with me. I find myself humming the melodies long after the cd is finished playing.

To all of you romantic people out there: Buy this CD at once! It's an instrumental CD which makes it so pleasant to listen to whatever your'e doing. And I'm sure that the people that enjoy this one will also appreciate "la Esperanza" which is one of the nicest guitar discs I've ever heard.
