I recently heard "The Story" during the Olympic coverage and was really taken by the song. I had since seen the video and heard the entire song, along with several others and found that I liked Brandi Carlile's music. The album has 13 great songs on it. I have listened to it over and over again and will very likely purchase more of her music in the future. I feel she has the same quality and style of music as Allison Krause, but slightly different. A real winner in my mind.

This purchase was a major mistake and when it comes to music, I don't make many. I heard the single "The Story" on a friend's Myspace and wound up downloading the cd from Itunes. It is my favorite Cd purchase of the year. So when I bought this CD I was more than sorely disappointed. I felt hood-winked. It sounds to me like this was the "rough draft" of The Story. I will be listening for new releases by this artist. Her voice is extraordinary. Don't waste your time with this. Buy The Story and get blown away by one of the most moving and beautiful female vocalist I've heard in a very long time.

I'm a big Brandi fan and this album does not disappoint, but it is so short it left me craving more! I also love live albums because you get to learn a little about the artist and its always fun to compare their speaking voice to their singing. I can't wait for her next full album release!

I love Brandi Carlile's music. I ordered this CD from an Amazon.com seller. It came still in shrinkwrap. It played fine. But- I noticed the disc had small nicks,marks, imperfections around the edge. I have a fairly large CD collection and had never noticed anything like this till recently. I recently made another purchase from an Amazon.com seller and that CD had similar imperfections. This is obviously a quality control problem in the manufacture process. These are not first rate discs. Has anybody else noticed this? How are these second rate manufacture discs making it on the market? This CD deserves five stars. I gave it three stars becuase of the sloppy manufacture of the disc.
