The magazine is good, but not great. It is something good to have lying around. I was expecting electronic and gadgets reviews and test but this magazine barely touch the subject.

What else could you do to this magazine to make it better? Nothing! It's one of those perfect works of art that just happens to be a magazine.
The paper it's printed on, the photos, the articles. All perfect. I love the way it feels....It's a winner and also a collectible. Just can't say enough about it.

Writer's Digest is a magazine designed for writers and it attempts to cover many different aspects of writing in its columns and featured articles. Most every issue offers at least one interview with a famous or semi- famous author. This spotlighted author could be the author of a book, a screen writer, or some other type of author. These interviews offer some good insight into writing success and the necessary skills and sacrifices to succeed at your chosen craft.

Aside from the interviews, Writer's Digest is basically a magazine of tips and advice. One issue might talk about ways to break into the business of movie reviewing for newspapers. Another might talk about ways to make your writing more concise and less wordy. Still another article might discuss ways to overcome writer's block. The main ... Read More

Excellent magazine. A very good tool to keep people motivated in exercise and eating healthier. There are lots of articles for health, testimonies with lots of tips and great recipes.

Although the magazine is reasonably priced (at $2.79, it's one of the cheapest mags on the market), the content is primarily geared for middle of the road, suburban American housewives trying to save a second here and a second there. I, as a single city gal, just gloss over all the articles dealing with children because I simply can't relate to the material.

The main reason why I bother with Woman's Day is for the recipes. They have hits and misses, but the dishes I have clipped and saved in the past have turned out very tasty. There are also interesting articles from time to time on various aspects of running a household, but, for real, much of what they feature is common sense.

My biggest gripe with this magazine is the number of drug ads. For the May 4, 2008 issue alone, there were ... Read More

I have only received one issue of Wildbird but am happy that I have subscribed. As a beginning birder, I need all the help that I can get and I am unwilling purchase an experienced birder (do they even sell those at Amazon?).

This magazine is well laid out and provides a plethora of fun, and interesting, facts about the birds between its covers. I look forward to the next issue.

For those oenophiles in your life, Food & Wine would probably be at the top of their list of favorites, but this is a strong second.

I have been a Workbench subscriber for a little over three years, but I've been purchasing the magazine for almost a decade. When the magazine first came out, it focused on tools and woodworking projects for the home and shop. However, around January 2007, they did a radical re-design. In my opinion, for the worse.

Now, Workbench magazine is a home decor magazine with a woodworking slant. It is more along the lines of a Good Housekeeping with a few simplistic tool reviews and a variety of home decor projects such as storage ideas, home makeovers, and appliance guides.

As stated before, Workbench no longer appeals to the woodworker in me. Their current emphasis on home decorating projects and articles such as "Fancy Floorcloths" and "Take a Seat and Reinvent it...with flower power." (Issue ... Read More

10.Watercolor from: Nielsen Company

This magazine is inspiring to the beginner and a challenge to the experienced watercolorist. I never tire of seeing the great work of the artists highlighted in this magazine.

The issues often have workshop-like articles on using computer graphics software, how to handle color, composition or other technical aspects. And then there is just the eye candy, purely for artistic pleasure. While your own painting may not reach the heights of these wonderful artists, the act of looking at paintings, of studying technique and seeing alternative ways of expressing subjects is a solid way to improve one's own art. I prefer "Watercolor" to other art magazines because it focuses on my own medium fully and really goes into depth.
