I really enjoy this magazine. I read it for a while online and I decided to try a subscription for one year. In a couple of months I became addicted to it. I added one more year to my subscription when I got a good deal. It is amazing how some very common things are described in such beautiful words. This is an art.

I ordered this magazine for my son on 6/22/08. He has yet to receive his first issue and now has a new address. I'm having a terrible time trying to correct the shipping address.

Conde Nast Traveler is undoubtedly the best travel magazine out there. They may aim a big high as far as budgets for travel go, but at the absolute least they provide the best kind of inspiration.

not as good as the regular national geographic but still the adventure version is alright.

... or any other corporatized magazine. I've read Outside for several years now, and it's become just another glorified catalog to sell stuff with shallow writing: e.g. best Tequilas in Mexico, etc, etc. I used to enjoy this magazine when it contained incisive writing from John Krakauer and others, and it was about the outdoors. Now it's basically corporate drivel. If I covered the title it could be Men's Journal or any such mag. I imagine that these editors must go from place to place taking their homogeneity and dull corporate editorial skills with them. This will be the last year that I read it.

In the back of this magazine is a terrific "true stories" section about mis-adventures and lucky situations that occur while traveling. They are laugh-out-loud funny! I love reading them to my kids. The pictures with the stories are priceless such as the chicken that built a nest under a Popeye's Fried Chicken drive-through.

I have bought Southern Living Magazines for years but there is a irritating trend in all magazine publications and Southern Living is no exception. Most articles are one page, really less. With photos and ads, most are 4 paragraphs or less. Its like the American Public is all ADHA and the publishers think we can't concentrate any longer than that. If I take the time to look at each page of the magazine, then I won't mind spending 5 more minutes reading a little depth to an article that catches my attention. I can now go through an entire Southern Living in less than 30 minutes. Is this worth my money?

this magazine is great. i get to see all the incredible vacation spots without the dysentary and at a fraction of the cost

As a native of the Midwest, I find living in Pennsylvania to be a little bit of an adjustment. Midwest Living keeps me informed of all the events should we travel that way (which we do fairly often), and I love the articles!
