I loved Maxim years ago, i even liked Stuff, which had pretty much no information in it. Maxim might as well be Men's Journal now. Crap! No longer the fun mag it once was. No longer am I ammused. Where did the Jokes go, where are the hot chicks, what's up with all the stupid suits??? Thier is no longer any meaningful content, maybe if I was 60 it would work! I'm mad that I have to wait 8 more months for the magazine to stop showing up!

I subscribe to 3 mens magazines:
- Best Men
- Esquire
- GQ

Of the 3, GQ has possibly the best style tips, merchandise, and fashion articles. However, the other articles aren't so well written as Esquire, whose approach is usually on the humorous side. Best Men, well, it has a very down-to-earth approach to writing, which may or may not be loved (sometimes I find it a little too serious of a tone in a magazine).

All in all, each magazine serves an individual purpose, which is why I still continue to subscribe to GQ!

Normally I would never buy a magazine, but one day someone at work brought in a Men's Health and I ended reading it cover to cover. Its filled with little facts and figures guys love to know spread throughout the pages in addition to the main articles, which are great by themselves. If your a man and can read, you will most likely enjoy this magazine.

I have been a female reader of Men's Journal for 10 years. The articles are always very good, open and fair, and of excellent journalistic quality. They have product reviews, health questions, sports information, etc. The magazine is well balanced and only has a few 'men only' related articles. It is also very cheap as far as magazines go and this was a gift subscription for someone. Everyone I have ever gifted it to has liked it.

5.Playboy (1-year) from: Playboy Enterprises International Inc

Take a break, soothe the eyes on the eye candy photos inside.

Some pretty good articles too.

Nice summer "reading."

I'm unsure why I had not found out about Esquire earlier. It's a great magazine all around. From fantastic articles about things you normally wouldn't see in stuff like People, or even Time. Also included are stories about some of the best actors and icons in American entertainment. They may not be responsible for world changes, but they're important in their own respect. Much like Playboy, some of the best fiction writen can be found between the covers of Esquire. This magazine has tidbits of information to help the normal man survive in the real world. It gives tips on how to make first impressions on the most improtant people you may encounter. Overall, it's a great magazine whether you're looking for helpful hints, interesting reads, great stories, or just plain fun.

I bought the subscription for my husband because he wanted it. I thought it would a less sleazy version of Maxium, not to trash Maxium, but come on. Anyways, I was pleasantly surprised because not only did my husband love the magazine, I also ended up reading it and getting health and diet tips. We now have a magazine we can actually have a conversation about.

I purchased a subscription of this item for my husband and I can't believe how fast it came. I have purchased subscriptions before on other websites and it took 4 months to get. This is not great when trying to give as a gift. I was so pleased the golf digest came in less than a month. I don't golf but my husband loves golf and the golf digest is his favorite out of all the golf magazines. He thinks I'm the coolest wife! Thanks amazon!

or am i 'aging' myself w/that expression...either way, that's exactly what this magazine is for me...that's what most of magazines of this type are about...what it looks like. sure, i'm a 'lifer' to consumer reports mag; but, when i want to give my eyes not just a rest, but a treat, this does the deed! and for a few bux a year, it's beats tv by many many miles.
