I ordered this for my grandchildren. They all enjoy looking at it. My 2 1/2 year old grandsons both like it, too. It is a great magazine for any animal lover. I want to teach them the importance of animals and to work to protect them. If we all start when they are small, they will grow up with that love. This is the best mag if you have a family. The ideas are so amazing. They are very creative and not expensive. I have twin boys and I use it all the time. It makes a great gift.

Haven't gotten this subscription yet. Apparently it takes about 6 weeks to get. We've gotten this magazine before and my girls love it. Very clean and age appropriate.

I enjoyed Highlights Magazine as a child for many years. I might not have liked every story or puzzle, but there were always plenty of pages to keep me entertained and I read them over and over. Besides, I rarely (if ever) pick up an adult magazine where I'm really interested in every story that is printed. Highlights is trying to appeal to children with a wide range of interest and it's ridiculous to expect every page to be a home run for every reader. I occasionally pick up a copy of Highlights while sitting in a doctor's office and am pleased to see that it is nearly the same as it was when I was reading it in the 80's. I look forward to sharing this magazine with my future children.

For the amount of advertising and articles written by advertisers, they should be giving this away. We found Wondertime to be a better (but still flawed) child magazine.

I like this magazine because it has a very calm, laid back approach, and encourages parents to enjoy all the little wonderful things of being a parent.

This magazine is definitely a keeper. It teaches kids to cope with their age problems in a great way, telling real life stories. Has all the fun activities and fashion and care tips as well. Both my 8 year old and the 11 year old daughters love it.

I read Young Rider as a tween and love the magazine. It's a definite must have even for kids who don't own a horse.

This was my favorite magazine when I was a kid, and now I've subscrubed for my three-year-old nephew who loves it as well. It doesn't look as though the content has changed much in the last twenty-five years, only the cover design is notably different, but they're still as good today as I remember from when I was a kid. Each magazine features a different animal, and is packed with photos and illustrations showing different species, skeletal and muscular structure, and interesting facts. The pictures and illustrations are great for young kids, and the information educates older kids. I've seen them for sale at a lot of zoos individually.
