Very Disappointed. They began my subscription with an issue that is already over two months behind the newsstand. Typical corporate crap...! Like reducing the value of the subscritpion by 20 percent or so. Thanks alot Amazon, I will not forget who organized this consumer rip-off. SWC

This is an unusual review. I think US Weekly isn't worth reading - but I am a man. I give an annual subscriptions to our admin assistant every year as recognition / appreciation for Admin Week. I appreciate all she does to help me. She appreciates receiving US Weekly every week. That works for me (and hopefully works for her). That's good enough for me to give a high rating.

Good magazine for contemporary articles. The poetry is pretty bad. The comics are very funny.

So Mental Floss was a mag that I stumbled upon awhile back in a store and was blown away. This was a magazine that seemed to be tailor-made for me. I am a huge trivia buff as well as a fan of geeky humor and this magazie incorporated both of these passions as well as a great articles into a nice package. My only dislike is that it only comes out once every two months. I want a new issue every month dangit! I know it a bit pricey for the subscription for only 6 issues, but if you are into reading, news, and fun facts, this is a great magazine. If you are a fan of "The Intellectual Devotional" books, this is the mag for you.

People Magazine was a birthday gift for our daughter-in-law. She loves it and it started arriving much quicker than we thought it would. Very satisfied with purchase!

I'm unsure why I had not found out about Esquire earlier. It's a great magazine all around. From fantastic articles about things you normally wouldn't see in stuff like People, or even Time. Also included are stories about some of the best actors and icons in American entertainment. They may not be responsible for world changes, but they're important in their own respect. Much like Playboy, some of the best fiction writen can be found between the covers of Esquire. This magazine has tidbits of information to help the normal man survive in the real world. It gives tips on how to make first impressions on the most improtant people you may encounter. Overall, it's a great magazine whether you're looking for helpful hints, interesting reads, great stories, or just plain fun.

I frequently change magazine subscriptions just to see what's out there. Harpers, however, is a staple and for the simple reason that its writing is the best and the most varied in terms of length and subject matter. The real measure of its success is that I will wade into articles, memoirs and discussions, whatever the subject, and find I come away with something to talk about with friends instead of an hour spent with teaser paragraphs and no payoff. You know the feeling from coffee table mags where your eyes wind up tired and inside your head a dull tom-tom begins to beat . . .
