First, the disclaimer. I am not a vegetarian. I have, however, planned many vegetarian menus and cooked thousands of vegetarian meals, both professionally and at home. This magazine has a rather quaint approach to cover art and illustrations that reminds me of magazines that my mom read in the sixties. Apart from its appearance, the recipes are wildly inconsistent. Some are very good, fast, and easy to prepare. Others are bland and lifeless, reinforcing the misconception that vegetarian food is uninteresting and "healthy tasting." Some of the recipes contain obvious errors and omissions or call for such odd proportions that one wonders if they were tested prior to publication. I love my cooking light subscription. I got hooked a few years ago when I received the annual cookbook for a holiday gift. Since then I've tried tons of the recipes - every month has SOMETHING good in the magazine and sometimes every single recipe is amazing. Not only that, but there are really good tips that everyone can benefit from - no matter how little or how long you've been cooking. I recently started Weight Watchers and to my happy surprise, I could use almost every recipe in cooking light because all the nutrition information is there to calculate the points, so I'm now an even bigger fan because my family doesn't have to change a thing!

Ladies many of you are also talking about gaining weight after an Hysterectomy I too started gaining a few pounds... But PLEASE be most aware of Hormonal supplements side effects. Unlike many magazines that claim to be healthy, this one really is. I always find recipes that are simple enough not to overwhelm me and tasty to boot!

The WW magazine is great! It has great tips; encouraging stories of actual weight loss; fashion advice; wonderful recipes that are easy to prepare that are not only healthy, but also taste great and information that is timely for better living.

I have been reading this magazine for over a year now and I absolutely love it. There are always great recipes to share with friends and family also I love the wine pairing section. I do not drink wine but when I have a dinner party and use one of Rachel's recipes I know what wine to include for dinner. The messes and successes is a fun section its great to know that you are not the only one that messes things up in the kitchen. One section that I always read is pet friendly. My dog loves the treats and I make enough to share with my friends dogs too! A section that is very helpful is Everyday menu planner. Sometimes the small gardener, the home gardener needs some help. This magazine provides easy to understand how-to's and good reviews and information on planting and nurturing plants depending on area, weather, etc. I would highly recommend it!

I was given HEALTH magazine as a gift, and have enjoyed six months worth at the present time. I'm a 40 something, formerly fit mother who still believes in herself enough to know that someday...I can be 'fit' again. This magazine seems right up my alley. It addresses common health issues with clear, short articles and yet isn't packed with ads so that the articles get lost. Some recipes, some exercises, some discussions, while remaining entertaining too. You would be wasting your money if you are already fitness oriented and off to the gym to meet your trainer, but if you are in need of an encouraging, helpful, entertaining read that will inspire versus guilt you into getting healthier, this magazine is for you.
