When my wife and I got back from our trip to Italy last June, we thirstily bought everything Italian since we had such a great time over there. This magazine was one of the things we bought to help remind us of what it was like over there. We enjoy cooking new dishes but sometimes find it hard to find all of the ingrediants here in the States. One funny thing is that I didn't realize we got the magazine and mistakenly sent in a subscription for it for a Christmas present. Luckily, the publisher simply extended our subscription and didn't send us 2 issues of the same magazine. That would not have been good!

My impression of mainstream American food magazine is that they focus on mostly hearty meals and thick, dense, and rich desserts, which is not what Ij'd like to include in my diet. Delicious magazine is different, it has a lot of refreshing and light dishes. It is more expensive then the other magazines probably because it's being imported and printed in Australia (instead of printed in China like other books nowadays). You should try to see if your local bookseller carries it because the cover price is only US$8.99 per issue/month. When I am writing this review, Amazon is selling it for US$126 for 11 issues. You do the math ;)

I ordered this as a gift for my neice for Christmas. It's June, and she has yet to get a copy. I called them in March, and they verified they have her correct name and address in their computer. I'll going to ask for a refund.

This magazine is the best for real Italian recipes that are being cooked in Italy at the moment. The recipes are in Italian only, but with some translation, it is worth it to make these recipes come to life in your kitchen!

This magazine is the best for real Italian recipes that are being cooked in Italy at the moment. The recipes are in Italian only, but with some translation, it is worth it to make these recipes come to life in your kitchen!

This is a great summary of Italian wines. There are so many different types it is hard to remember them all but this book is a great help.

We bought several issues of the magazine while living in the UK for a few years, and kept them with us when we moved back to the States. They're still our primary source for recipes, and we have yet to find a better magazine. The recipes focus on the freshest garden ingredients of the season (naturally, there are a lot of root vegetable recipes in the winter -- this is Britain, after all). We can generally manage to find all the ingredients in the States, except that paneer (Indian cheese) has been a challenge. Remember, rocket = arugula, courgettes = zucchini, aubergines = eggplant, and coriander = cilantro.
