Stuffed full of adds, this mag occasionally has some helpful articles and reviews, but I doubt there are any that couldn't be found for free on the net.

I love macs so I wanted to know more about them and the products that go with them and enhance their outcome. For this, Macworld is great. Articles about current issues, advices on additional functions, reviews, tips and recommendations. But the magazine feels cheap, with very thin paper and many ads which are small formats and make the pages look mess. It was a bit of visual disappointment I must admit.

Nice Playstation only magazine with very little fanboy articles. Articles and reviews are generally right on.

This is a great magazine for someone that doesn't keep up with the latest and greatest computer technologies and hacks.

Having been a gamer for many, many, years, I can say that Game Informer is the best magazine out there now, and probably the most comprehensive and well made gamer mag ever.

Simply put, this magazine does a lot of things well...

1) The reviews are honest and thorough. I would say that I agree with them about 90% of the time. Many games will have two reviews so you can get different opinion.
2) Great layout. There are reviews, previews, editorials, reader letters, game news, event coverage, etc.. Overall, there is a lot in every issue.
3) Good construction. Nice size and great color on the pages. I remember old school GamePro where it was like a cheap comic. This is not the case.

I've been reading Electronic Gaming Monthly for several years, and it is truly one of the best gaming mags out there. The writing is phenomenal; the writer's manage to put humor and detailed information into their articles.

Many other magazines have sold out in recent years, giving better reviews to game's whose publishers pay more for advertising and such, but not EGM.

If you want a high quality magazine about video gaming and all of its attachments, buy this one.

I like Gamepro. I actually miss how they used the silly faces for the ratings. I guess it was "immature", but "F" that! Seriously!

And now, it's half way filled with advertisements, advertisements and more advertisements. Not very appealing when you want information on your favorite games, and you have to skip through an advertisement every two pages, sometimes every other page!

I know they pay for GamePro to even "Be", but I still don't like the amount.

I like how they do the yearly "Presents to Get for X-Mas", and I've liked the Questions section, as well as the section that fills you in on glitches and such, as well as the section that gives you tips on how to fix things, game-related.

Also, the info. on what video game is selling the best towards the end, is also ... Read More
