My eight year old son loves this magazine. So do I -- I have to snitch his copy when he's not looking. Another review I read said the reading level is too low. This might be true. After a couple of years I have no doubt my advanced reader 2nd grader will be ready for adult magazines with similar content. But for now, this is perfect. Plus...no ads! I took a tip from these reviews and ordered the magazine straight from the publisher website and not here from Amazon, though. I hope Amazon's magazine supplier works out their problems -- too many people have posted too many stories of 12, 16 week or longer waits before getting their magazine for me to want to order here. Amazon listen up!

Subscribed to Kids Discover, Ranger Rick and Highlights for three different grandchildren, ages 12, 10 and 8. The other two arrived quickly in time for gift and children and parents are delighted. Each issue arrives timely. BUT Kids Discover took about 3 months to even arrive and then was sporadic all year. My grandaughter isn't a complainer but her mother said she waits for her next issue and it doesn't come or comes late. She has received only about 9 when it should be 12. Might not matter as much if the other kids weren't getting theirs every month.

I am seven years old. My favorite section is "Ask Jimmy and the Bug". The questions that kids send in are very interesting. "Marvin and Friends" is another good part of the magazine. Most of the time it's very funny. I recommend this magazine very much.

Along with Ladybug, another Cricket Publications magainze for kids, Click is best in its class for 2 to 6 year olds. Where Ladybuy is largely fantasy, fables, fairy tales and loose play, Click is more pragmatic. Each issue has a theme on some worldly issue or basic knowledge. For example one recent feature focuses on recognizing and understanding the value of money. Another on the recycling. If that seems dry to you, don't fret, each theme is playfully introduced through cartoons and kid-friendly devices such as cut-out projects and picture association games. Recurring features such as "Yo Wants to Know", "Click and the Kids" and "Beatrice Black Bear" helps excite kids to look forward to and identify with regular characters and themes. No less important, no annoying ads. Highly recommended.

Just to let the first time Cricket orderer know, they quote 3 to 4 months to deliver. It took 5 months for my niece to receive her birthday gift. I was not pleased. Hopefully it's worth the wait.

Brio magazine is a christian girl's magazine for about 13-16 year olds, although it could be for as young as 8 or 9. Brio and Beyond is just the 'graduated' version, for 16-22 year olds. Being in the "brio" age group, I would highly reccomend Brio. It's the only magazine I am subscribed too, and I read it front to back the day it arrives in the mail. I really couldn't see a magazine more suitable for teen girls. It is perfect, and has a lot of fun suggestions to do with friends and siblings or yourself. one of my favorites was when they gave gace masks recipes, another one was Chai tea recipes. And that's just an example. I bought this magazine for my daughter (aged 10) to supplement our science for homeschooling. She loves anything to do with animals. Each magazine is small but full of information. My daughter loves it & looks at them over & over. She's also a reluctant reader, but not when it comes to TRACKS!
