You can tell the editors are enjoying themselves writing about the cars and culture they love, and this makes for a fun read. You won't find tired cliches that seem to run rampant in other, larger auto magazines, like "an over-eager right foot." Lots of cool and highly customized cars to dream about, and plenty of useful features for enthusiasts on a budget.

the publisher of this magazine makes it extremely difficult to speak with them if you have any problems. in my case, a gift sub for my father was mistakenly mailed to me. after 2 emails and 2 voicemails, i was finally able to speak to a human who suggested that i mail them to my father myself. they've finally changed the address, but apparently don't care when they make a mistake and as a company simply cannot afford the few cents it costs them to send another one out, in the name of customer satisfaction. really lowbrow stuff. maybe in spirit it's actually it's Excellence: The Magazine About Pinto.

I routinely pick up this magazine at the newsstand. It is less expensive there. I have no idea why Amazon pricing would be higher. It is, however, very difficult to find. I have only found it at one location. That said, it is a wonderful magazine, which despite its title, focuses on much more than just 911's. It is a UK published magazine which requires some translation (at least with respect to dollars and cents) It also has articles that would have no application here (i.e. how to convert from left to right hand drive). However the core of the magazine crosses all borders. There is a monthly update of the employee's cars. There is a monthly test of available used cars and there is a good tech section.
