Advertising Age gives you a birds-eye view of what's happening in the world of advertising and marketing. A good amount of news, trends, and other information is packed into dozens of small blurbs, sidebars, and page-long articles. While I enjoy the content, I have two complaints. The physical format is in-between a newspaper and magazine meaning it is printed on glossy paper and staple bound on the left edge, but it is large and floppy. The other annoying feature is the number of articles that start on the first few pages but are continued somewhere in the back.

Complete agree with some of the reviewers that find some of the articles a bit over the edge of kookiness but the bulk of the magazine is thought provoking words and images that will enlighten even the already most skeptic mind. The price is unfortunate but like Consumer Reports the magazine is reader supported. With almost every form of media news under the pressure of corporate advertising, this type of journalism is needed more then ever. If you see the dangers of your entire portal to the world being controlled by corporate media then I highly suggest you give this magazine a try; check out a copy at your local B&N and then subscribe if you enjoy. You may not agree with all the messages of the magazine but you will be challenged.

I discovered this publication by chance at a Borders when I was looking for something to kill time with. The adds are interesting. There are lots of them. For people who prefer to look at the pictures (like me) this is the publication to have. There are lots of adds, it's a fairly hefty book and is worth the money for the subscription. As a photographer I find the images interesting, creative and very cutting edge. The adds cover everything from photography to digital manipulation to drawings. I highly recommend this publication!
