I got this for $13 on a slickdeal. It easily replaced my other mini processors I got on black fryday for $10. It's several times more powerful easily, even at low setting. The great thing about the gem is that it's really easy to clean compared to it's 11 cup big brother, which i also have. So I end up using this for small stuff - nice omlettes, chopped onions, garlic, etc. Basically, good for 2 people cooking w/minimal cleaning pain. (heck it even ground up ice for cocktails, even though i think i'm not supposed to use it for that) I wish there was a way to keep it locked on a setting rather than keeping the buttom depressed the whole time so i wouldn't have to just stand there. I know that this is a coffee grinder and I bet it's great for that too. It's solid, small, nice-looking, and operates quietly. It's got a stainless steel interior and stainless blade as well. It seems to be built to last. If fingerprints on appliances bother you, consider getting the white one since the high gloss black plastic casing was filled with fingerprints after a use or two. It cleaned up nicely, though. In spite of its name, I bought it specifically to grind tiny chia and other seeds, nuts, and mung beans to create flours. It does that amazingly well. I am delighted with this little machine and highly recommend it and as usual, the Amazon price is great !

For all of those bad reviews that complain about the wheels stopping, etc... you didnt read the directions. There is even a trouble shoot on that topic.. your pushing down too hard!! So far so good using this product. The knives I have sharpened are MUCH better than they were and way better than using one of those hand held models.. (you'd know if you have one). I would be very comfortable giving this as a gift!

I bought this is January 2007. The mat keeps going strong and I give it a 5-star review because: 1. Everything -- pizza, cookies, biscuits -- slides right off the mat after baking. 2. This is very easy to clean. 3. I'm baking more at home and buying less ready-made foods, helping me reduce my monthly food budget.

love it! I had been warned not get one that would allow gunk to get trapped and build up around the handle. I was about to give up my search for the 'perfect' scraper and just get a plastic trowel. I was actually shopping for something else when I saw it on Amazon. It's a great scraper, I use it daily. I highly recommend this one.

I think this k-cup spinning carousel is a hit. It fits in the tight space were the coffee maker is without a problem, is solid/sturdy and spins freely. Glad to have made the purchase, makes life easier

I've had great luck with a lodge dutch over and stove top grill/griddle. In a recent move I somehow managed to misplace my grandmothers old cast iron pan. I was a bit sad about not have that pan anymore but didn't think of it as anything more than a lost memory. How wrong I was. By comparison this thing is junk. It is significantly thinner and has a very short handle. This is not to say it's a bad pan - it's just not up to the old stuff. I'm not going to return it, in fact I'll use it without complaint. I am, however, going to keep my eye open for something more substantial. In retrospect I should have ordered a 12" pan. I'm not sure why but 10" of cast iron just looks small.

We recently had to replace our toaster because one of the cats had knocked it to the floor when jumping onto the counter. While researching for a new one I came across the Back to Basics TEM500 Egg-and-Muffin 2-Slice Toaster and Egg Poacher. A clever idea but how useful would it be in practice? However, the price was right and there would be no problems returning it to Amazon, so I ordered it. After using it for a month here are my observations. 1. Toasting performance: excellent; it may be the best toaster I have owned. 2. Cooking a poached egg: excellent and very easy to do. 3. Cooking soft/hard boiled eggs: not as good. The shells need to be pierced and sometimes the cooked egg will ooze from the hole. The bottom of the supplied water measuring cup has an egg piercer. ... Read More
