This is an awesome immersion blender! I bought this just to have a quick way to make smoothies and milkshakes for me and the kids, and it has been such a time saver! You can measure your fruit for your smoothie right in the mixing cup and you have a perfectly blended shake in seconds! I love the fact that the mixing piece detaches from the handle. Makes clean-up a cinch too. I'm sure we'll find other uses for it around the kitchen. It is so handy!

I researched quite a bit before making this purchase and I'm so glad I did! The Tovolo popsicle molds are fantastic!! They are easy to use, easy to clean and they have used non-leaching plastic which makes me very happy (I contacted Tovolo directly to confirm this)! The size of the popsicles is rather large -- but we've been making healthy fruit-yogurt smoothie pops at home and my three year old can easily polish off an entire popsicle... so the size isn't a problem!! Be sure to leave a half an inch or so when filling the popsicles or as they expand in the freezer they may spill over. Have used this product quite a few times now with no major glitches. Just like some of the other reviews said though, you probably want to get a different bread machine recipe book than the one given with the machine. I think there are differences in the amount of yeast used for basic recipes. Just used the jam setting last night too to try and make strawberry jam, and no major problems there either! The bread and the jam are tasting really good!

I've only used this item once and didn't have very good results. Probably need more practice. It's an expensive method of getting Yogurt when I can go to Aldi's and buy 32oz of plain or vanilla yogurt for $1.50 and the consistency is always what I expect. I have about $90 tied up in this and the culture which is about what I'd have spent for yogurt at Aldi's in 6 or 7 years.

This is the absolute worst food processor I have ever used. The engineering is terrible--it's the clunkiest thing to put together. You must fight with it to get the chopping pieces together. It's easier to use a hand grinder! I've has this for 6 months or so and am putting into a tag sale on the free table!

We got this blender to make smoothies after my wife got addicted to the smoothie place next door. It does a brilliant job in just seconds of mixing however much you like. It is very stable and easy to wash, everything except the motor can go in the dishwasher. I read negative reviews about the noise, but it is not as bad as I was expecting, you can talk in the same kitchen with it going.

My Ice Cube make was having major problems. Ice Cubes were hollow and Ice was sticking on the White Prongs that pop the cubes out. I called Amana and they were no help so I figured that the Cube maker was not getting enough water flow. I replaced with this filter and now the Ice Cube maker is like new and the water shoots out of the dispenser like crazy. What used to take 25-30 seconds to fill a glass of water now takes 3-5 seconds. So if you are having Ice Cube issues or poor water flow buy this. It's a little expensive for a water filter but it's worth it. Oh and the water tastes good too.

My husband bought this blender for me due to top billings from Consumer Reports. The first blender burned out the motor upon its first attempt at usage out of the box. Braun replaced the motor and we tried again but the second motor didn't even make it a whole year. The blender really never worked very good. It couldn't move contents efficiently, the blades would bind up, and we would get the occasional messy surge. We're through with this product and will be moving on to another make and model but I just hate contributing more new junk to the landfill! Not many things are made to the quality I expect anymore!

After having looked everywhere for a decent affordable blender, I thought maybe I had finally hit pay dirt with this machine. Alas, I was wrong again, it seems that the good old work horse blender of the old days is a thing of the past. This item is not all that bad,except that it is very loud, especially on "High", and it vibrates like a V-8 running on 5 cylinders - you must hold it so it doesn't scoot off the counter( when on "High" ). The lid is quite flimsy and doesn't prevent liquids from oozing out ( hold on baby! ). I guess this is what we must accept as the "norm" in the 21st century, what with Chinese motors and Mexican assembly plants. Not that it is their fault, because, after all, who is engineering the specs?? I would have expected a whole lot more from "Osterizer"
