First of all let me say that I only use cast iron and stainless steel cookware. I don't use aluminum (brain damage) or non-stick (carcinogenic) cookware ever. Cast iron cookware takes years to season because it has to smooth out from use and the deposit of microscopic carbon molecules. Because of that pre-seasoning is kind of useless. I think every cook should have 3 pieces of cast iron: A grill pan, a dutch oven and a frying pan. If you can't cook it in one of those, it probably can't be cooked. As far as the lid goes; it fits tightly on the Lodge Logic 12" frying pan. I wouldn't say it's an essential item (especially if you have a dutch oven) but it's nice to have. This oval pasta pot is really great. I've always used the traditional vertical pasta pot with strainer insert. It would boil over and the pasta would have to be broken to fit. I highly recommend this one.

I have always purchased different muffin top flavors for my family and I to eat. I wanted to know if such a tin was available to the public and found out that it was. Now I am endless on the different muffin top flavors we are eating. Everyone should have this. It cuts back on calories when eating because you are only eating the muffin top and not the whole muffin.

I wanted to get a waffle maker that would basically give me the same quality waffles as those I had at a really nice hotel. I am glad I didn't buy one of those expensive brands. This is perfect. It makes the waffles fluffy and nice. The one problem I have is with the timer....(even though I read about this in other reviews) the door to the battery compartment is very flimsy. I also have to agree that this function should have been incorporated into the electrical system instead of being separate. Overall, a nice product despite this and I am enjoying my waffles!

These frying pans were a great value. Cooking, frying and cleaning are effortless with the excellent non-stick surface.

I am about to purchase this pan for my daughter's first b-day cake, and read some of the reviews, many people seem to have a problem with the cake baking faster in the top part of the pan because it holds less, has anyone tried baking the cakes in two seperate stages, so that the baking time of one does not effect the other? When I purchase, this is what I plan on doing.

These work like a charm! Follow the directions & you'll have perfect poached eggs. Cleanup is just a swish through soapy water. The pan just boiled water - no gloppy egg stuff hanging on! Love them!

I purchased this dutch oven on Amazon because it was on sale and looked attractive. Unfortunately, I used it without reading the directions that said it shouldn't be used at temperatures over 400 degrees. I made No Knead Bread with the dutch oven and cooked it at 450 degrees. Sure enough, the knob on the lid cracked and when I took out the bread, there was a nickel-sized hole in the enamel finish at the bottom of the pot. Just a word of warning that if your recipe calls for temperatures over 400 degrees, this oven is not for you.

I took up gourmet cooking as a hobby over 2 years ago and have become quite good at "amateur" gourmet cooking. My old set of cookware was very old and inadequate at times so I looked for a new set and specifically was looking for stainless steel b/c I have noticed that most of the good TV chefs use it frequently. I love this set, especially for the price. It cooks very well, is relatively easy to clean and looks great.
