I bought this kettle after reading the reviews with some trepidation. Yes the kettle is heavier than most but its a good grade stainless steel. So yes it will be hot on the outside. BUT as a very heavy kettle user, this kettle is by far the best I have ever owned. It looks great with the rest of my appliances, I love the lid, and I had a metallic taste once when we first got the kettle. It cleans easily as well. Amazon sent this out quickly and it arrived in top rate condition.

Seriously it's worth the money to have coffee that fast and that hot ! It's amazing! I won't go back to a luke warm slow coffee maker ever again!

Excellent frother. Sure, it's an extra step to heat the milk, but the stiff form is well the additional step.

Like other reviews, the plus with this unit is the noise factor and lack of static buildup. It's a decent grinder for drip and other coarser grind styles, but I can see how it might not be excellent for espresso machines. The rating would have been higher other than the on/off switch just snapped off 9 months after purchase. A call to customer service rendered a lethargic rep who said they would e-mail a fed-ex return slip for warranty service that I have yet to receive 4 days later, this after a follow up call that was never returned. I hate to have to spend a couple hundred bucks on a reliable grinder, but it may come to that, as every other burr grinder I've had (Bunn, Cuisinart) broke after about a year of service.

I'm not one to like strong coffee but the Gevalia Signature Blend is so weak I really dislike it. I found the Signature Blend Decaf to be wonderful and hoped the regular coffee would have the same characteristics but it is very weak. I'm heading back to hazelnut.

When I ordered this replacment I decided to order an "unbreakable" french press. It was cheaper than the Bodum french press and works just as well.

We were buying whole beans at Peets, using a burr grinder on a daily basis and a quality Cuisinart drip brewer but something was missing. It seemed as if the different roasts always tasted the same when served. A Peets employee suggested the Bodum French Press and it truely makes a huge difference. Each of those roasts or blends now has its own unique flavor and aroma. It is a little less convenient than your drip machine, but if you are paying $11-$14 for a pound of whole beans, you are already committed to the best cup possible. On the other hand, if your coffee comes ground out of a can, this probably isn't for you. It's likely not worth the effort.

After having broken 2 glass French press carafes and cracking a plastic one, I certainly needed a different option. The stainless French press is exactly what I needed---simple, effective and most importantly unbreakable. I have found that I don't need to preheat the carafe; the coffee stays warm enough without that step. Money well spent!

I purchased this picture thinking it was the right one for my Tea Maker but I was wrong. However, I was able to find the tea maker it does go with at a second-had store. My advice, watch your model numbers closely to make sure the replacement you order is the right one. Also I have a couple of recommendations for those of you who make ice tea with these types of pictures. Use a large cup to place the the ice in the picture, this will reduce the scratches, knicks and cracks on the top of the picture. Also, hand wash it.
