I ordered this looking for a large mug for my wife's coffee. It's difficult to gauge the size of the container from the web picture, so I thought this would be a good option. When the containers arrived, I realized they were huge bowl size, which may be perfect for reheating soup or maybe pastas or rice dishes, but certainly not for drinks. I think the term "mug" is a misnomer here. I would call this a bowl with a lid. I returned mine and am still looking for a "mug" that will fit a large Dunkin' Donuts coffee with a lid that is microwavable.

We purchased this product with high expectations. Let me say, the coffee is delicious and stays hot for around 8 hours in the carafe. We couldn't be happier until it suddenly stopped working. We contacted customer service, who sent us a cleaning solution. Unfortunately this did not fix our problem either. Their solution now is for us to spend money to ship the coffee maker to a third party for repair. It seems to us that since this product broke after just 4 months, Zojirushi should really take it upon themselves to repair the coffee maker at no further cost to us. I strongly disagree with asking a consumer to continue to shell out money when the product is defective. Be cautious buying this product. The coffee maker performed as advertised. However two days after the expiration of the warranty the unit ceased functioning due to the failure of the pumping mechanism to operate. The unit is not constructed for long-term utilization

This is a fabulous product; one of the best things I've purchased this year. You can get a similar k-cup maker cheaper, but Breville's quality is worth every penny. Not only can you use k-cups for coffee, tea, or hot chocolate, but it comes with the ability to use your own coffee, even it's not available in k-cups. So every few mornings I grind up some Jamaican Blue Mountain and brew a couple of cups. In fact I thought so much of Breville's quality, that two days after getting the coffee maker, I ordered the Breville electronic toaster. Same top quality. If you want the best of the single cup makers, get this one by Breville.

I've loved this thermal coffee maker and use it all the time-- so convenient for the person who drinks just one mug of coffee a day. Keeps coffee hot for several hours within the mug, very quickly makes coffee, etc. The easiest one to clean you'll ever see! However, recently mine has been taking up to half an hour to slowly drip out coffee, and that filled with grounds. I believe it has a short-circuit somewhere within the machine, and it's not worth it to repair it. Too bad-- I got it not even two years ago and I already have to replace it!

I bought this product on a whim, it was on clearance at a local Williams Sonoma (the same price as Amazon) and I have told everyone I know about this product, I love it. I had cleaned my coffee machine several times the old fashioned way, vinegar, hot water, etc. but nothing seemed to really work. One time with this product and the coffee machine was pretty much brand new again and all the stains in my thermal coffee pot were gone, even when I use bleach to clean the pot there is still some left over stains, I love this stuff. I know that the box says to use once a week but I think that's a bit much, once a month or every other month is probably fine.
