I used to own a Braun, one of the older, "barrel shaped," drip machines. It always, despite its simplicity (or because of it?), brewed the best tasting coffee -- provided, of course I used a premium brand. I lost my Braun in a move, and never replaced it...fool that I was. I went through a couple of cheapies and regretted my choice every time. I finally decided to find another Braun ("duh..."), but discovered they had redesigned the old machine; voila'; the new KF510. Anyway, typically, and in very Braun fashion, "less is more." If you are looking to brew fresh ground coffee at the right temperature, with the correct amount of water contact time, there are very limited choices of machines from which to choose. The hundreds of "Mr. Coffee" type brewers are all basically the same and simply don't do right by the beans. Water too hot, not hot enough, brew too fast or too slow. The Technivorm is, arguably the only other option. It costs a bit more. The Capresso MT-500 is certainly more commercially available, on line and at higher-end kitchen/home retail stores. It is a proven machine having been available unchanged for some years now. The are only two choices here: all metal alloy or the model with the black plastic coffee filter holder unit. My wife drinks no coffee (love's tea) but finds the Senseo machine very handy and easy to use. It even saves the coffee we otherwise would have to throwaway if we would make a full size pot. Purchased for my children 6 and 8. After reading reviews, I went with the Classic lunch jar with dark plastic containers so they food containers would not show stains from food,e.g., spaghetti sauce. The jars sizes are perfect for young or adults and do help with portion control. All components are easy to clean and durable. The small soup jar needs to be closed tightly which can be hard for little ones to open. I was concerned about the price but feel like this is a great value and am quite happy with the purchase.

It works well for tea bags or tea leaves. What's nice is that you can put boiling water into it and the temperature on the outside of the tumbler barely elevates in temperature. If you are on the go, and you are a tea drinker, just boil your water throw in a bag (don't need the infuser) or leaves (needs the infuser) and you're ready to go. It has 2 different lids: one w/ the infuser and one w/o (like a typical coffee lid) and then a cap (fits on both inserts) to seal in the heat. And in case you were wondering, it can be used equally well for coffee.

Nice try, but the emphasis is on BLEND not KONA. Like walking a chicken through cheap chicken soup, Melitta may have thrown a few famed Hawaiian beans in a big, big batch of their ordinary beans. Expected more from Melitta. Anyone want to buy my three unopened boxes????
