I've tried everything else. This is the only way to keep a bottle of wine from going bad. Unless the weather is extremely warm, it will last for several days after opening it. I love this product.

As someone who realy enjoys a glass of wine, or 2, but NOT the whole bottle at the same time, about 10 years ago I discovered this GENIUS of a little wine keeper system! I know there are more expensive systems out there, but those are just not in my budget, AND, I cannot imagine how they could work better than the VAC-U-VIN! Perhaps it was me, perhaps it was my pineapples, but something wasn't working according to Hoyle. I had some difficulty getting it to go through the pineapple. (Yes, they were ripe!). Also, there was a lot of pineapple left in the pineapple shell for this frugal old gal, so that meant some tedious knife work to harvest the remainder. Finally, this device caused lots of wasted juice. Regretfully, my opinion, even though I am the minority, is to use a knife in the first place. I rate this pineapple slicer eeehhh...

I bought one of these wine savers for my husband and I a few years ago, and loved it so much that we bought one for everyone in our families for Christmas! It's perfect if you just want a glass of wine and not the whole bottle! You can keep a bottle of wine for a couple of weeks or more, and it never tastes skunky as long as you follow the directions. The only downside: The original saver I bought for myself came with a case for the parts. The ones we ordered for gifts came all loosey-goosey. Can be easy to lose the stoppers.

Works like a champ so far-have had it for about 3 weeks. However people say they implode putting it in the fridge. I put it in there FIRST with it's top not on it but in there with it to 'pre-cool' it for several hours first. Haven't had any trouble with it preserving lunch meat ,etc. They'll keep for 2 or 3 mos. in a vacuum with the 'bags' from another co. but they're a pain (the bags),so this is the way to go for me!

I just used this product and it does take the air out of the bottle very easily. The cork screw opener doesn't seem well made, but do the job. The only real problem I had was that the vine server has sharp edges.

This worked great for the first use. By the second use, the lid cracked. So it useless now, need to find a replacement lid. The vacumn doesn't work anymore. for $40 bucks, you'd think youd be able to use it more than once.
