I have used this on both my dogs since whenever they go outside in the morning (5:45am-6:15am), they have the urge to bark. It has worked out so far. I have put the collar on and have forgotten to turn it on sometimes and just knowing it's around their necks, the dogs have been behaving.

yes, these are overpriced. i just go to target or walmart camera section and get one for $2.99. it's ridiculous what they are trying to charge and these are the cheap one's that don't last long.

There are 2 design issues with this toy: 1. in order for the rope to go back in, it needs to be PUSHED back in - this is difficult for a dog to accomplish without human help as it is not a stiff rope, but a flexible one. 2. When the dog pulls on the rope, it lifts the bottle up into an upright position, and when it's vertical the treats don't come out. My dog quickly figured out that the best way for the toy to "work" was if I set it up and let him pull the rope out while I held the bottle horizontal. So my dreams of independent play have not yet been realized.

I bought two of these for my Pug puppies. Wasn't sure if first if they would get the hang of it but it took no time at all. Instead of the treats they suggest (which could be made of anything and could have too many calories), I fill these with Cheerio's (or some frozen sliced carrrots or peas) and a few larger milkbones and they go nuts. The larger milkbones are added just to make it a little tougher. It's a great learning toy or busy toy - hence the name. All I have to ask my little Puggies is, "do you want your bottle" and that's all they need. We couldn't live without it. Oh and I've had ours for probably a year and a half and we're not even close to needing to replace them.

I got this when I could take being woken up at 2 in the morning because my cat kept jumping up on the kitchen counter and knocking things over. I bought it about 2 months ago and it has retrained my cat completely. Now I can actually walk away from the dinner table or kitchen and let the SSSCat keep an eye out for me. It has a nice wide range and now just the sight of the little contraption is enough to ward away the cat from whatever trouble he is thinking about getting into. I also never had a problem moving it from one part of the house to another like some of the other reviewers because its been in constant use in at least 3 different rooms and has been a lifesaver.

My Chi puppies ignore this toy and the smooth rawhide that comes with it BUT they love the rough rawhide. I give them the rings and they go crazy tossing it, chewing it and chasing each other for it.

My dogs love the Busy Buddy Gnawhide bones. The bones keep them occupied and happy for a while when I'm busy and can't give them the attention they want.

I have two Chi's and they LOVE the rough rawhide ones but they ignore the smooth ones. I bought the two of the toys that these rings go with and they could care less about those. I just give them the ring and they toss it, chase it and chew it. I only wish they sold a pack of only the rough rawhide.

I've never had a reason to use this yet, but I like having it available. Originally I bought it to go to the dog run after reading horror stories about agressive dogs and worrying I wouldn't be able to stop a fight if needed to protect my dog. I've never had a problem, though, so i've never actually used it. I have noticed that they keep this in the training/play room at the ASPCA, so it must be a safe but effective product. If you are looking for something to bring to a dog run in case your dog is in a fight, you could also use a simple bottle of water - I once saw a fight over a toy stopped by someone shaking water on the dogs. Totally harmless, and it seems like it would be just enough to redirect their attention.

We have a 9 month old Australian Shepherd Lab mix that loves to chew (AKA destroy). So, I went on Amazon grabbed 3 toys; the Premier Busy Buddy Bouncy Bone (medium), the Premier Busy Buddy Tug-a-Jug (Small) and Jolly Pet 4.5" Vanilla Scented Jolly Critter Squirrel. If I could my favorites in order, it would be the Jolly Critter Suirrel, then the Busy Buddy Bouncy Bone, and lastly the Tug-A-Jug. There is little 'playability' for the Bouncy Bone. It is a very hard (durable) plastic that is not fun to throw in the house because of the worry of breaking something valuable. It is not soft at all (not like the Kong material).
