We recieved this as a wedding present a back in August. This unit was actually diffrent than the one we had on our registry but WOW we love this one. The washable grill plates are really cool and easy to clean. I will say we dont wash them in the dishwasher much. But to remove the plates and take them to sink to clean is super convienent vs. hauling the whole unit to the sink and trying not to get it too wet or cleaning it on the counter with a washcloth or papertowels. I HIGHly recommend getting the removeable plates. They sell replacement plates online which is great. My previous Foremans would always wear the nonsticks first but this unit you can replace them. The George Foreman Grill is great. I use it 2 to 3 times a week. The microwave is awful. It heats my dishes more than it heats my food. I've burnt my self on 'microwave safe' dishes only to find that my food is luke warm after heating for 3 minutes. Also the clock is slow. I set it for the correct time and 2 days later it is behind by 5 minutes and gets progressively worse. Needless to say, we are buying a new microwave next week. Buy the grill, not the microwave.

It's a nice little grill but I think it's too hot, it really singes the outside of meats like hamburgers and sausages. Doesn't get the middle hot enough if you don't like charcoal on the outside.

I think it is a nice unit...i find the bun warmer part useful as it uses otherwise dissipated energy ( escaped heat).. The angle of compression is adjustable.. The only con is that the grills are not removable...hence cleaning is not practicle... Also, a general suggestion: before you buy anything like this..check your local second hand stores because they often carry similar stuff ( never used ) for a much better price.. I was regretted when I saw the exact same grill in its original box for less than 10$
