My knives were getting so dull they were dangerous, so I knew I needed a sharpener. I wanted something quick and easy, that didn't take any skill, but just sharpened knives. I know if I took the time to learn how to properly sharpen my knives, I'd get better results than I can with the Diamond Fingers, but not by much. The Diamond Fingers suit my needs perfectly. Plus it folds up and stores in a drawer easily. Good product!

I recieved this knife for Christmas, and have been using it regularly since then. It's easily become my favorite knife. Comfortable to hold, retains its sharpness, and comfortably heavy. I don't take nearly as good care of it as I should, (it's often left unwashed or soaking for long periods of time), and after 4 months of use, it's still very sharp. Now whenever I cook at another house without a furi or global knife, I feel like something's missing.

Love this knife. I've had adequate knives in the past, your standard run of the mill Chicago Cutlery "Factory Outlet" wedding registry specials, but I'm bad with caring for wood-handled knives, tend to think of them as a 2-3 year shelf-life (er, drawer-life, perhaps), and I treat them accordingly...this was one of my first high-end knives, and it makes me wonder how I've gotten by without upgrading for this long... I haven't had to sharpen the knife yet, certainly not so much as to throw off the weighting, so the copper counterweight is purely decorative at this point, but an interesting addition nonetheless. I saw it but did not believe the product actually worked. I was pleasantly surprised. I now have two of the Furi Tech products including the restorer. Believe me they both work and work well. I am using old knives that I long ago thought could not be sharpened...they cut now like a razor. I would recommend purchasing the restorer for those knives that have long ago lost the angled edge and the diamond 'fingers' for keeping the edge on a regular basis. Wish I could find the replacement for the fine edge fingers.
