Although I have not used the large size, I do use the Extra Slim size (not offered at Amazon- bummer!) and I do plan on buying some large size for making larger pots of tea. These filters are inexpensive and NO floaty bits left behind to pick out of your tea. I love mixing loose teas to make my own blend. These allow me to do just that. And like other reviewers said - loose leaf tea beats the powdery overpriced bland prepackage stuff by a mile in quality AND cost. Even figuring in the cost of the tea bag. Enjoy!

It's small, light and brews the perfect cup. It's so compact there's really never a reason not to bring it. When I say 'perfect cup' I'm talking about a cup of coffee for someone that likes coffee press style coffee - not filtered, drip coffee. I like really strong coffee - you can add as much you like to the strainer and make it as strong as you want - nearly espresso style in fact, if that's your goal. I like this thing. Teeli makes a fine wire basket that helps you get the most out of bulk tea. Their fine mesh keeps bits of tea leaves from getting into your cup of tea. Bulk tea is of much higher quality than tea in tea bags, not only is it higher quality, it often is less expensive when purchased in bulk. There is also another advantage of using your brew basket is that you can steep the leaves more than once. Teeli wire basket is well designed, the lid can be used to rest the basket in so tea does not leak all over the place once you make your cup of tea. The basket also holds up well in the top rack of the dishwasher. This has been one of my favorite purchases when it comes to tea drinking. This is the perfect purchase for yourself, or as a gift.

This is just the right size for a medium to large cup of tea. I prefer loose leaf tea but I don't think steel tea balls let enough water flow for good brewing. This filter does the trick. My wife has the larger size as she likes to brew a couple quarts of tea at a time for iced tea. It also works great.

I've been drinking tea my whole life and have recently become somewhat of a tea snob. I've been looking for a teapot with an infuser for a while. When I saw that this teapot had a way to stop the steeping process, I was enthralled. I drink tea throughout the day and I drink the lighter Chinese teas. I don't like the bitterness of tea that has been oversteeped. The greatest thing about the teapot is that it really does keep the tea warm for 2-3 hrs in room temperature. For boiling hot tea, I usually keep my thermos handy with boiling hot water and pour 2-3 cups of hot water into the teapot at a time. (Good tea leaves are reusuable for at least 5-6 pots in a day.)
