I love the item but it took a month to get it. The tomatoes were done before it came in the mail. It started in Michigan went to Maryland and back to Michigan before I got it.

This is my first pressure cooker, and I also had to replace a 10 year old crock pot, so the 1 product doing both appealed to me. I have used it as the pressure cooker and the crock pot option, both work well. Having not used a pressure cooker before, I can't compare, but I have tried several recipes in this cooker and found they work well, even with the lower psi as other reviews noted. I love the brown feature, allows you to quickly brown meats in the same pan as you are planning to use for slow cooking or pressure. Clean up is really easy with coated pan. The only disadvantage I see is only one setting for slow cooking, no low/high settings, but the other features such as the brown, warming and time delay setting more than make up for any downsides in my opinion. I needed the gasket to replace my slightly worn one - and now I've done that, my meals are coming out as they should. I have been using an old gasket which was slightly melted in one spot, and I believe that compromised the cooker. I wish I had ordered 2 of these, so as to have one in storage instantly for the next time I need one!

I have a Presto 4 qt. pressure cooker which I like a lot, but wanted something bigger so I bought the Fagor 6 qt. The inside diameter of the Fagor is 8 3/4" vs 8 3/8" for the Presto, 3/8" difference which may not seem like much, but I cook mostly with stainless steel inserts, bowls and the like, to get the double boiler effect, and it's easier to get the bowls out of the Fagor, a tricky job when they are still hot. But the Fagor makes a hissing sound at a pitch I didn't like at all. So I went back to the Presto which makes a nice chuga-chuga sound with the little cap rocking back and forth, a sound I actually find pleasing (I'm a violinmaker, so sound matters to me). But then I found an old aluminum cooker at Goodwill, which I scavenged for the vent tube and cap, and installed it on the Fagor. Voila! ... Read More

This pressure cooker is a wonderful invention. I haven't used the steamer basket yet because I primarily bought it for cooking dried beans. Beans turn out superb in the cooker; with a little olive oil there's almost no need for any other flavorings and they're cooked in 1/4 to 1/2 the time it used to take me in a cast iron pot. Plus I don't even bother to pre-soak. Just throw them in dry. Incredibly easy to use and care for, I highly recommend getting this model. Cheers!

Product was exactly as described. It is so easy to use and to clean. Was worth every penny. I would recomend this product to everyone and I would definitely purchase it again. I purchased to duo set because of the price savings. The steamer basket and trivet work perfectly and I will use them alot.

This pressure cooker is the poorest quality I have ever seen. The lid fits so loose that it can not build up any pressure. I had the stove on high fo 40 minutes and it never built up any pressure at all. The steams leaked out from all around the edges of the lid. I would not recommend this at all.

I hate the Jenn-Air cooktop in the house I bought and, before I shelled out $3 - 4k for an induction cooktop to replace it, I thought I'd try this little one out. My dislike of the Jenn-Air gas cooktop is the lack of "range". Low is too hot to simmer and high just doesn't get there to blacken meats. With only 6 heating levels, I did not expect the Fagor cooktop to have the precision I want. I was wrong, it excelled in both. I simmered a pot of chili quickly and it easily held it at just below simmer. I clarified butter in a steel bowl (more on that later) and it quickly separated and never boiled up to mess up the separation. The pressure works great in getting up to pressure quickly and love the safety features built in, but the overall diameter is not big enough for cooking corn on the cob.
