The spray is somewhat sticky. Our female pet dog still scratches herself. Her skin is irritated in some areas. She has itch. The spray appears to sting her somewhat when applied. At least she walks quickly around the room after I spray her. Maybe it takes more time to be effective. Let's see what happens. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Our allergic, itchy, Chow Chow mix feels much better since we started using this shampoo. She is biting and scratching her hot spots much less frequently, finally giving them a chance to heal. She positively hates bath time, which makes it a pain for me to wash her, but this shampoo makes the trouble worthwhile. Also, the mild coconut scent smells great while she's wet and fades after she's dry.

I have a 7 year old pug. He had mites (mange) from the time we got him at about a year old. He initially got 18 dips in mitaban which is used on fruit crops in the south. It is very toxic, but the only way to control the mange. One vet even said you might have to put him down. About 4 years later, it came back, and he had another 8 dips. For some reason, he then came down with these bumps. Started in his tail area, and progressed to his entire body including head and neck. After 7 months of antibiotics and steroids from the vet, I was at wits end. He was on Science Diet and after researching the net, I was convinced it was his diet, not enough protein.
