I bought this set for the design, but I ended up liking it more for the overall shape of the plates. The plates (especially the smaller plates) have "upturned" edges, making it function more like a bowl. This is a great feature for kids who seems to have issues keeping their food on their plates while pushing it around! Also a benefit if you are eating something a little "juicy."

Having lived in Belgium for the last 28 years, when a friend of mine offered to give me some space on her container, I knew right then and there just what I wanted to ship! Correlle dishes! I picked out the sand color because I can dress them up of use them for everyday. The dishes take up 1/3 of the space other dishes would. They don't break and keep their shine! And Amazon made it so easy, great price, all 6 sets in stock, 2 day shipping! Thanks Correlle and thanks Amazzon, your two companies has made this American woman in Belgium VERY HAPPY! Pretty and microware safe. We use the microwave quite abit and wanted something other than paper plates to reheat leftovers, (trying to reduce our carbon footprint). The picture doesn't do them justice. The bowls are alittle shallow, but great for salads. The only thing I would change would be the mugs, they have a stamp on the bottom stating that they are stoneware. I would have thought they would be made out of the same material as the dinnerware. Other than that I am very satisfied with my purchase.

This comment is not about the quality of Corelle because I absolutely love the Corelle line. I just wanted to comment that my purchase was for a brand new Amazon.com Corelle Winter White set of dishes. When I opened the shipping box I couldn't help but notice that the Corelle box had been previously opened and the merchandise had been redistributed in the box. Even the Corelle box itself had been weirdly re-taped. Why would Amazon.com send me this kind of merchandise. This was not purchased from an Amazon third party marketplace vendor. This was purchased from Amazon.com What if this was supposed to be a gift? How embarassing would that be. I'd have to run out and re-purchase another set. So, for the record, I love Corelle.
