This thermometer reads fast and is accurate. I wish that I had bought it sooner because it takes the guesswork out of meat cooking.

Excellent timer. Love the choice of lights, alarm and/or vibration. Also, it's hard to lose a red timer!

I and my professional barbecue team partners have been using three of these units (same model)for a year and a half, with no problems and usage of an average of 45 events per year/40 tests per event. Just use average, sensible care and they work well. I suspect that some of the users who rate these poorly do not have experience and the sense to utilize them the way they are intended. A fine product for the money. Even if I got a year out of each of them, they would be an accurate bargain.

Easy to use, easy to clean, easy to store. Displays temp quickly. Remove the cord it's attached to or it will get very dirty very quickly. It also gets in the way when grilling, washing and storing. I put a bauble on the cord and wear it as a necklace. Very nice!

I'd send it back but I threw out the packaging when the item arrived the same morning as trash pickup. I rate this product ZERO stars. Amazon forces you to rate at least 1 star to proceed with the review but this unit doesn't deserve that. Anyway, look at the picture and you'll see that the largest button on the unit, at the bottom and in the middle, is the STOP button, which when pressed stops the timer countdown. This button is raised up higher than all of the others and it seems almost impossible when handling the unit not to touch this button, as when you are putting the unit down on the table after setting the timer. It is a huge fault which I could overlook and be super careful when handling but here is my biggest complaint; you have about as much chance of hearing this alarm as you would ... Read More

This timer has done a good job for me, reminding me time is up at times, and counting time for me at other times. Easy to wear around your neck, comfortable and light weight. Biggest drawback if any is the alarm is not very loud, it is as loud as most timers, but if it were louder I would like it better.
