The teapot is sturdier than I expected and has survived a lot of use, but I would never buy it again. Sure, clear glass is a nice medium if you want to use tea flowers like the ones that come in the set, but the glass infuser is a disaster. The tea is supposed to brew through four sets of slits in the bottom, which get clogged easily, are difficult to clean, and don't allow enough water to flow through. The tiny slits make it hard to fill the teapot because the infuser can't drain into the pot fast enough. To fill the teapot with tea in the infuser, I have to pour in water, wait as it slowly drains through into the pot out of the infuser, pour in more water, wait, pour in more water and wait, and then pour in the final bit of water. I purchased this product recently, and have hand washed the plastic strainer maybe 3 or 4 times. It was getting tea stained, so I checked their website to make sure that it was dishwasher safe. When I saw that it was, I put it into the top rack of the dishwasher. It came out with a piece completely cracked off. I emailed them twice with no response, so today I called and they said that ONLY their electrical items are warrantied. Nothing else - no exceptions. This is the last Bodum product I will buy. What lousy customer service! I guess they must make their money on the first Bodum product a person buys, because they certainly can't have a lot of repeats with that kind of attitude.

My wife tried tea from a tea press at a friends home and wanted one. I bought the tea press on sale from Amazon. She liked it so much we bought one at full price for our daughter in Maryland. She says it makes great tea also.

This little infuser has come in handy for a variety of warm-beverage tasks. I definitely use this for tea, but I also use this in conjunction with a coffee press when the grounds are too fine for the press' sieve. This Swissgold infuser measures about 2-inches high and 1-1/2-inches in diameter. So, my guess is that it would hold up to 2-tablespoons of loose tea, depending on the particle size of the tea. Definitely recommend this for it's durability and functionality.

I purchased this to use as an over-cup strainer for coffee or tea. I figured I would pour whatever I had brewed through this strainer into a mug, but unfortunately, this is much smaller than the typical mouth of any cup or mug and doesn't hold enough tea leaves or coffee grains to be practical. It fills up quickly and you have to dump out the contents into the cup a few times before you get a full cup. I suppose it is useful when pouring from a kettle with a small spout (thus creating a small stream of liquid) and if there are not too many leaves or grains. I re-read the item description to determine if it specifically described the size and all I could see was the length measurement. Perhaps I missed it, but I would suggest that you make sure you have a specific use for this before purchasing.

I got this for my Grandmother's birthday and she absolutely loves it. She says it is wonderful!

Although I have not used the large size, I do use the Extra Slim size (not offered at Amazon- bummer!) and I do plan on buying some large size for making larger pots of tea. These filters are inexpensive and NO floaty bits left behind to pick out of your tea. I love mixing loose teas to make my own blend. These allow me to do just that. And like other reviewers said - loose leaf tea beats the powdery overpriced bland prepackage stuff by a mile in quality AND cost. Even figuring in the cost of the tea bag. Enjoy!

I absolutely love this pitcher. I go through a ton of iced tea, and this makes keeping a fresh batch on hand so easy. I haven't had any problems with it not straining the loose tea sufficiently, and I wonder if the people who have aren't using good quality loose tea. If you're using tea that's designed to be brewed loose, this shouldn't be happening. Hasn't been a problem for me.
