It's a measuring cup, does it job good. The reason for the review is comparing with the plastic ones, glass ones are far better. #1 - It's easy to clean. Even if you use it to measure oil, glass cleans a lot better afterwards. #2 - The glass is very thick, you can call it heavy duty. Bumping it on the counter or against pans, it won't just break. #3 - The handle holds comfortablly & the cup has a pouring mouth. A real simple item, but this one gets everything right at the reasonable price. Good buy.

I use it every day and am glad I have it. It is easy to read and has many different volume units. Prior to buying this from Amazon a few years ago I had to have 2 sets of measuring cups to avoid messes when I needed to measure the same quantity of a liquid and a solid.

Love the 8 cup pyrex for adding water to my 5 gal. cooler mash tun. Quicker, easier, and more accurate then adding from a pint measuring cup over and over again. Add the grains and you are mashing away to a great all-grain beer.

I love this measuring cup. It's a perfect size for a variety of measuring, mixing and microwaving. Glass Pyrex measuring cups and bowls are perfect to measure your ingredients in and then just pop right in the microwave to heat up. The open handle is great to hold onto while mixing and also great to grab while removing hot ingredients out of the microwave. The handle doesn't get hot in the microwave. I have the 1 cup, 2 cup, 4 cup and the 8 cup measuring cups in Pyrex. They are great. I love the durable glass instead of plastic, so no worries about bacteria, odors or chemicals. These measuring cups have always had an annoying issue that makes no sense to me. I am a right-handed American who uses Cups as a measuring unit. When I am pouring something into the measuring cup, I hold the cup in my left hand and pour with my dominant right hand. That means that the scale I need is on the opposite side of the cup. It p***** me off every single time. Was this designed for left-handed people, or am I missing something?

I got these for my mom for her birthday because she wanted them, and when they came I could see why. They have an angled panel on the inside of the cup that has the measurements on it so you can see what your measuring from the top instead of having to look at the side of the cup! Great product and she loves them.

I regularly use this measuring set and would not recommend anyone get them if there is another option available. They do perform the tasks they are designed to ie they measure liquid and solids. I hate that the measuring set, specifically the cups are not weighted properly. By this I mean that when they are empty or filled the cup bottoms do not remain even on the flat surface. They tend to tip or tilt toward the handle. If there is a liquid or solid in the cup, it causes it to fall out. Therefore, a carefully measured amount of food can become not so carefully measured when it falls out on the counter or floor.
