I bought this scale because Cook's Illustrated recommended it. As usual, Cook's was right; it is really a great gadget.

There's not much to say except the obvious: good brand, clear markings, convenient handle. The only drawback is its weight and bulk. Still, when buying a glass product this comes with the territory.

I don't even look for my old glass measures. I use this for liquids and dry measures such as milk, water, flour, rice, etc. Accurate and simple to use. The lid is good when you need to store in the fridge without having to worry about spills or getting out some plastic wrap. I'm probably going to buy another one later. Thanks to foodie Alton for this find.

I bought this unit to weigh gold and silver coins and bullion. It's a very sturdy yet compact unit. It fits in a pocket or purse or any bag. It seems to be very well made and the scales are accurate. When I first got the unit and turned it on, it didn't work. I discovered the batteries were loose. Actually, the batteries should be outside the unit when shipped. In any case, while I've not owned them long, I'm very pleased with them. The price is exceptional and EZ Sales are just super to deal with. I was a bit annoyed that the unit did not come with a calibration weight. Be sure and get the 500 gram weight for this model. These are accurate, wash well in the dishwasher, and after 3 years still look great, except that the print is mostly worn off and can barely be seen on some of the spoons. Also we don't bother using the clip anymore, since you really do need to take the spoons apart to use them. Also note that this set includes a 1/2 TBS which many sets don't have, a big plus for us. At the price, deserving of 5 stars.

Great value! Very sturdy material for the low price. Only downside is that the clasp which holds all the measuring cups together is not the easiest to open/close, but that is a minor issue.

It is the old fashion type that is made of glass, which makes it heavier and sturdier but more prone to breakage. However, you will not have to worry about the lettering fading over time. Since it is made of glass and larger than most measuring cups at 1-quart size, you can heat up many of your recipe liquids in this measuring cup without making another dish dirty. There are two downsides. First is its large size that takes up more room than other measuring cups. Having bought EVERY pink item in the last several months. I was dismayed to discover that none of the money was going to CFTC just because I had bought them. Seems that in VERY small print on the hang tag, there is a disclaimer. You have to go online and register the product. Only then will KitchenAid fork over the Money...... Yes for something as small as a set of measuring cups or a knife, you have to register. Of course I discovered this long after I had thrown away the hang tags. So I went to LOWES and wrote down the UPC from the items they still stocked there. They were out of several items I have and didn't know if they were getting any more. So now I am off to the mall kitchen store. Wish me luck. Oh and SAVE those hang tags.
