Our daughter gave this to my wife, who has difficulty opening a wine bottle. It is amazingly powerful and pulls the cork right out of a wine bottle. But, the corkscrew does go all of the way through the cork. I thought it would seal itself, but it does not. We have been in the habit of putting our partially used bottles of wine on their side when storing them in the refrigerator. The cork seeps wine. We now need to find room in our refrigerator for the bottles to stand upright.

I saw this gadget several times before I bought it. I was concerned about rubbing a product that looked like a cheese grater over my heels and the balls of my feet. I was positive that it would hurt and make my feet bleed, but it doesn't. (my heels by the way were tough with thick skin and my partner had thick callouses on the outsides of his toes.) I bought two, one for each of us for proper hygiene, and we both appreciate the results that this product gives us. Since the only thing we use this blender for is fruit smoothies, it's a bit annoying that the thing can't really handle frozen fruit. The fruit doesn't get down to the bottom and it creates an air pocket. I have to use a wooden spoon to stir every few seconds of blending. Huge disappointment. I think this would work better if the base was wider and if the blade went in both directions. My parents have the Oster Fusion. We tried the frozen drink button and we got the perfect smoothie. May go ahead and try that one.

Bought this model based on Consumer Reports rating. In our smoothie-loving family, blenders don't last too long. This one appears to be solid, powerful and much quieter eating ice cubes than its predecessors.

I've seen the Magic Bullet advertised on TV. I never purchased it through any TV ad. My son and I were at Fred Meyer and saw it there. It was under $30 so we bought it. My son couldn't wait to try it out. It does a better job with making milkshakes than my full size blender ever did. Also, it does good with chopping food up. It is necessary to shake the food container to get bigger pieces of food dislodged. The problem with the Mgic Bullet is that if you don't take the ring out before putting it in the dishwasher, it will not get thoroughly clean. I have had to clean mold off of the ring because of this. Also, if the ring isn't well seated into the lid, it will come loose while the blades are turning and the ring will get twisted around the blades and cause the motor to work ... Read More

I just received this blender yesterday, and just want to confirm that regular Kerr Brand Mason Jars work with this blender! Most of the people that wrote reviews mentioning this fact wrote them under the mini jar accessory for this blender. So, if you are a regular smoothie maker like myself and hate dirtying up the 5 cup jar for just one smoothie, get yourself an Oster blender and some Mason Jars! That way, you can make a single drink in the same jar you drink from! Be sure to buy the regular mouth Mason Jars... NOT the wide mouth. I bought a case of 12 Mason Jars for $11 but they can be found for a little less. I'll update this review as I use the blender. For now, I justed to confirm reports that Mason Jars do in fact work with this blender.

I use these glasses daily to pull double ristretto shots for cappucino and I have no complaints. The glasses are a perfect size and keep the coffee hot. I've noticed other reviews complain about the glass being too fragile or the glasses themselves not feeling heavy or substantial enough. I haven't experienced either of these issues. My glasses have not broken despite my pre-coffee morning clumsiness. I would definitely buy these glasses again. As far as coffee equipment goes these are really inexpensive.
