The Mr. Coffee ECM21 is easy to use and clean. The value is unmatched and the performance has been trouble free since we got it. We have not had this machine for long but are very satisfied with it. It takes little counter space and the controls are intuitive. Though not made of the sturdiest materials (although, if you love your machine, you'll be gentle and attentive to proper maintenance), it is hard to imagine a better machine for the money. Well done, Mr. Coffee!

I was happy to see that this product is still selling. I got it as a Christmas gift about 6 years ago and about a year later the top got stuck and it was still under warranty so the company shipped me a new one. Well, here are my pros and cons: Pros: - Makes a great lattes, I can make it just the way I want, without paying a fortune. - I like Starbucks coffee so I buy my coffee from them and have them grind it. - Customer service was great! - Steams milk perfectly, not sea form. - Easy to use. - Looks cheap, but has held up to 5 years of use. Here's the skinny - This is the least expensive coffee/espresso maker I could find. I use it daily. It's a steam driven machine, so if you are a serious espresso fiend, you'll be disappointed. It just doesn't crank out enough pressure to give you an authentic espresso. It does an ok job at a fast shot of really strong coffee. The thing that really and truly is disappointing is the glassware. I'm pretty careful about how I take care of my things. But repeated heat + washing makes the plastic handle on the espresso carafe get a little brittle. Then the handle and lid break off of the carafe. Replacements for the carafe are $20 or so. And they don't have any kind of warrantee on the carafe. You can call Krups and ask for one, but their customer service is pretty rude about it. ... Read More

This is one expensive, stylish, piece of junk! The people in Krups customer service are very nice, but what good is that if Krups can't make this expensive coffee maker work? First the electronics (or the pump) died. I sent it in for repair, and after more than a month, they sent a new machine. However, the new machine leaked from the Espresso side from the first day so I had to send that one back too. Then I waited over a month again to get it back, and the service center replaced two electronics boards and didn't fix the leak. . So back it goes for a THIRD TIME! All in all, with all the shipping, etc, it's getting close to 6 months. Seriously, if it wasn't so expensive, I would have just thrown it away by now. Save your money! Don't buy this machine!

We love this machine! It is quick, clean, quiet.... fabulous. We have done all the combinations of the coffee flavors available. The cappaccino is unbelievable, it is a two step process unlike other machines so it is so authentic in flavor and look. It came with a great recipe book for more creative coffee beverages that has us really inspired. We do look forward to more flavored coffees to be introduced though as it is limited.

There is more than one model of the DeLonghi line of Coffee/Espresso Machines. I have owned 2 of the Delonghi Combos. I have read the reviews and have concluded that most of the negative remarks come form those that do not know how to use it or have the model that are not digital. We have enjoyed cappuccino, for almost every day, for the last six years. I suggest 100% Columbian coffee and second I suggest to use nothing but soft or distilled water for the best coffee and cappuccino.

Last December I bought the BCO-130T machine. I thoroughly enjoyed it - the coffee it made and the very good espresso and cappuccino. It worked fine for awhile. About June/July it started leaking water from the bottom of the machine. I called the suggested repair facility in Virginia. As soon as I started to explain the problem to the owner, he told me the problem and that it was common and the machine would be replaced. I sent it in for repairs. Well that process took about 8 weeks, an absolutely ridiculous amount of time. I finally get a replacement and now a couple/few months later this new machine is also leaking. I bought this coffee maker for my husband to replace an old dual machine we had for years. We only used the expresso side on occasion but the drip coffee maker got used more regularly, but not everyday. After about 16 months, it stopped working. The water would not heat or go through the filter. Thankfully I bought it at [...] so they took it back well past the warranty and gave me a full refund. Given our experience and the short-lived nature of this machine, I would not recommend it.

I didn't consider upgrading to an automatic espresso machine until I saw prices on Saeco's littler machine. I know that Jura-Capresso is a great espresso machine manufacturer but new machines were always cost-prohibitive. I used to grind my own beans and clean my espresso machine daily after brewing. Those days are gone with this dream machine. It brews a superb espresso and saves me hours of cleaning time. I can set it to whatever I choose to brew and walk away, knowing that it automatically stops brewing based on my settings. I've steamed and frothed milk and brewed tea with hot water from the E8. I love it and recommend it as often as I can.

Unlike the other reviewer, I have loved my coffee maker. I don't feel it's cheaply built. Definitely better than many other coffee makers I've had. The coffee is good and hot, and the espresso side is a dream. Easy to use, easy to clean. Shop around for a good deal.
