I was trying to find a replacement for a pillow I had a few years back. Superficially the pillows look the same, but my pillow was much firmer. I still use this new pillow, but think it would be better if there was more/ a better description as to the firmness. It's a good product, though.

I purchased this product after reading Dr. McKenzie's book, 7 steps to a pain free life. I use it in the car and in my home, and it really helps with lower back support. The only drawback seems to be that after prolonged use, it becomes flattened and tends to lose some of its support. It does spring back to it's round shape over time. Perhaps the extra firm model would be better in retaining its shape.

I use this product in a completely different way: length-wise along the spine for heavenly relief. Place the roll on the floor or a firm mattress and align your spine along the roll. Better than a professional massage. I take a 15 minute rest twice a day and hate to get up ! Your shoulder blades fall to each side in a perfect alignment. Try it, you'll like it. I am searching for 16-18" which would be even more effective.

My PT asked me to order this belt to help with SI hypermobility as we retrained muscles. To our mutual dismay, the so-called "nonslip" pads are simply pieces of the same rubbery-weave stuff you roll out in the kitchen cabinet under china and crystal. And if you plan to move, it will slip upwards. I had to constantly stop to pull it downwards to keep it from riding up over my hipbones. Previously it was applied at the low end of poundage advised, so we tightened it to the higher end in the hope it would stay in place better. Unfortunately, we found after only a few minutes the pressure this placed on cutaneous nerves was unbearable--and it STILL slipped.
