I have been using cheap hair straighteners for the last six years and finally decided to buy a Chi after I heard raves from my sister and friends. My hair is really thick and curly, and with my prior iron, it took me about 1.5 hours to get it all sleek and straight. Now, I can straighten all my hair in about 30 minutes!!!!! I am so excited to be able to wear my hair like this, straight hair used to be only for special occasions! The iron heats really fast and maintains it. I have had this hair straightener for a couple weeks now. It definitely works really good, I wish the temp went a little higher. The max is 360 degrees which works fine on normal days but could use a little extra boost when the humidity is up. I haven't figured out how to curl my hair with it yet without leaving a crimp at the ends. Overall i would recommend this product.

I bought this product after doing tons of research on flat irons. I was so paranoid that I would end up damaging my hair, but loved the look that a flat iron achieved on my short, prone to random waviness, locks. I've used the thermal guard almost every time I use the flat iron and my hair is in fantastic condition. I bought this exact dryer with attachments from another online retailer. I have now had it nearly 6 months. The GOOD: The dryer dries well and saves me approximately 7-8 minutes of drying time. I have shoulder length highlighted hair. The BAD: when you get the dryer close to your brush when styling your hair dry - the motor whines. And, the cord is cheap, tangles easily and does NOT have a swivel cord. The cord is not a coated industrial (professional) quality looking cord. This is a normal cord and it is tangled up (from blow drying with a round brush). I don't wrap the cord around the dryer after use, which might have been the cause for the cord tangling so badly - but not in my case. So, I would really like to return mine. I am very particular about the products I use on my hair and I am extremely anal. I like to smell hair products before I put them in my hair but I took a chance with this product by ordering online with amazon.com and I am glad I did. I love the way it smells. I hate hair products that have a peculiar smell. It also works very good in my hair. My hair way becoming very dry and brittle because I use the flat iron on my hair everyday, which isn't good. This silk infusion helps out a lot and my hair looks fabulous. The best part about it is that a little goes a long way, the bottle looks small but it will last longer then most hair products.

I have had my hair japanese straightened. I am in the 3 inch of natural growth --(curly roots) with stick straight ends --stage. Not a good stage. Getting the new growth straight takes serious time. Chi product in your hair not only cuts the time it takes to straighten the roots but keeps it pin straight for days! Your hair is much silkier and much flatter than if you do not use a product before you use a flatiron. Also, I happened to burn myself (on a lean cuisine) microwavable diner, when I removed it from the microwave at work. I purchased this item for my wife for our anniversary. Was shipped fast (3 days!)it should have, I paid $15.00 for shipping that actually cost $4.75 to ship! The next day my wife used it. The second day it would not turn on. I returned it to the seller (Zoonda sales). Two weeks later, I contacted Zoonda, and they said they would replace it when they recieved the return. I tracked it,They recieved it. We still do not have the item. Can you say RIP OFF?
